The Constitution of the Isle Republic of Madina

Appendix One: The Constitution.

Article 1. Every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles) is protected by the Law and the Constitution of the Isle Republic of Madina. Every Citizen (unaligned Nobles) is protected by the Law of the Isle Republic of Madina, but not the Constitution.

Article 2.A Every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles) will be treated as equal by the Law and Constitution of Madina, no matter their profession and place in hierarchy. (So even the ruler will be treated and judged just like every other knight) Every Citizen (unaligned Nobles) will be treated as equal by the Law of Madina, but not the Constitution.

Article 2.B Citizens (unaligned Nobles) can be punished more severely if they violate or break the Law of the Republic of Madina than any Knight of the Republic because the Constitution does not protect them.

Article 3.A Every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles) has the right to express their opinions and disagreement with anyone or anything in public unconditional of their hierarchical rank and/or profession under the only condition that this right is executed with respect towards their superiors. Citizens (unaligned Nobles) do not possess this right as they are not part of the realm. To obtain this right they have the option to swear an oath to a Lord (Land Owner) and become a Knight of the Republic and enjoy all the benefits of it.

Article 3.B Every Knight of the Republic has the opportunity to protest, rally, boycott, and openly debate with the intention of executing their rights expressed in article 3.A of the Constitution of the Isle Republic of Madina.

Article 4. Every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles) and Every Citizen (unaligned Nobles) has the right to travel wherever they go as long as they respect the orders and demands of their Lord or the Lord Admiral in case of national security (applies in the case of a Knight of the Republic) or the Grand Doge and the Lord Court Master (applies in the case of a Citizen).

Article 5.A Every Lord (Land Owner) has the right to demand anything from their Knights as long as the Lord (Land Owner) protects the Knights' rights, liberties and income.

Article 5.B Every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles), has the right to have their Rights, Liberties and Income protected by their Lord.

Article 5.C Every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles), has the right to break their agreement (Oath) with their Lord (Land Owner) 24 hours after an official announcement to the Lord in question.

Article 5.D Every Lord (Land Owner) can choose who to offer an agreement and who not. Nobody else has the authority over the offering, declining or accepting of oaths.

Article 6.A Trade is one of the basic rights of every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles) and Every Citizen (unaligned Nobles), everything that belongs to him, is his possession only. The only exception is in case the Trader possesses food or gold that has a special purpose designated to it by the Grand Council of Madina. A Lord (Land Owner) can trade his resources and food to whomever he wants as long as he reports this to the Ministry of Trade (Banker and Duke) prior to the transaction.

Article 6.B The responsibility of the Minister of Trade (Banker), is that no region suffers from starvation and that profit is made by each land owner, only he can overrule Article 6.A and overrule it completely.

Article 7.A Every Lord (Land Owner) has the right to go on 'expeditions' with it's knights. These Expeditions mean that a Lord (Land Owner) allows him and/or his knights to go about and loot foreign regions.

Article 7.B Every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles) has the right to demand an occasional looting mission from his Lord (Land Owner) and it is the Lord's (Land Owner) duty to respect that.

Article 7.C If there are no opportunities to loot any lands, every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles) can mutually demand opportunities to be made in public from their Prime Minister (Grand Doge, Ruler).

Article 7.D Only the Lord Admiral of the realm (General) is allowed to overrule Article 7 entirely. He only, is allowed to execute this right when the homelands are in direct threat of invasion of any sort.

Article 8. It is every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles) and Every Citizen (unaligned Nobles) duty to protect the Lands of the Republic against any foreign invaders.

Article 9.A It is every Lords (Land Owner) duty to respect the authority of there Governor (Duke).

Article 10 Members of the government all have there individual authority, none, not even the ruler is above that.

Article 11. The Governor (Duke) can call upon land to be taken. If this land does not belong to any nation. It is his right to use his powers to take it and call upon his Lords (Land Owner) to do so. If the region does belong to a nation he has to ask permission from the Ruler and General. Permission from both is needed.

Article 12. Every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles) has the right of colonization only upon agreement. This agreement has to be part of there oath towards their Lord (Land Owner). The Lord in turn needs permission from the Governor (Duke) to accept such agreement. No colonization will be accepted without these conditions met.

Article 13.A Every Knight of the Republic (aligned Nobles) and Every Citizen (unaligned Nobles) have the right to resolve a personal or family grudge, fight, or problem with anyone (foreign or not) in their own way as long as they respect the code of Law of the Republic of Madina.

Article 13.B Exceptions to Article 13.A can be given only by the Judge of the Realm.

Article 14.A In any case where the Law or the Constitution is broken, The Judge will decide what to do. He does not need the permission from anyone to ban, execute, fine, or torture anyone.

Article 14.B The Judge is responsible for the code of Law and the Constitution of the Isle republic of Madina to be respected. In Any Case where the Law or the Constitution is broken, the Judge is Responsible.


Appendix Two: The Code of Law

Article 1. Thou shall not vandalize, kill, steal or rape from thy brothers and sisters. (your not allowed to kill steal or rape within the citizenship(knighthood) republic)

Article 2. Thou shall protect you, your brothers and your sisters, your superiors and your minions.

Article 3. Thou shall a torn to the laws and Constitution of the Isle Republic of Madina.
