Every Knight and Citizen of the Isle Republic of Madina maintains the right to resolve personal or family grudges, fights or problems with anyone, foreign or not, as he deems fit without violating the provisions as stated in the Law of the Isle

Republic of Madina.



Directive 6/3/Ma
Vandalizing, killing, stealing and raping is forbidden within the borders of the Isle Republic of Madina.


Article 4. Everything belonging to a Lord, Knight or Citizen of the Isle Republic of Madina is his possession and only.

Directive 1/4/Ma
§A. Every Knight and Citizen of the Isle Republic of Madina maintains the right to free Trade. (ref. Article 3 of Const.)
§B. Every Lord of the Isle Republic of Madina can trade his resources and food per wish. only in the case of foreign transactions a report must be submitted to the Ministry of Trade (Lord Purser and Governor of the respective duchy) prior to the transaction.
§C. The seat of Lord Purser of the Isle Republic of Madina is responsible for proper region administration. It is the Lord Purser’s duty to protect Madina from famine and to ensure the financial prosperity of each region, thus in case of need he maintains the right of objection and/or obstruction to any trade action in case of national interest. In that case, the reasons of objection must be made known. (ref. Article 3 of Const.)
§D. The seat of Governor and that of Lord Purser of the Isle Republic of Madina maintain an advisory role to regional trade. In inter realm trade, the Lord Purser functions as a diplomatic figure from the position of authority.


Article 5. Authority is shared in a specific feudal hierarchy. In order of importance that is:

• Grand Doge
• Councillors and Governors
• Lords
• Knights and Citizens

Each rank carries individual responsibility.

Directive 1/5/Ma
§A. Lords are responsible for military action, unless if there are reasons of national security in which case this right is restricted.
§B. Every Lord of the Isle Republic of Madina maintains the right to go on Expeditions with his Knights. By the term ‘Expedition’ it is meant every mission of ocupying and looting foreign regions.The right to take over land is excluded in this directive(ref. Directive 2/5/Ma)
§C. Every Knight of the Isle Republic of Madina maintains the right to occasionally call for a looting mission from his liege and it is the liege’s duty to respect that call.
§D. If there are no opportunities for looting missions, every Knight of the Isle Republic of Madina can mutually demand opportunities to be made in public from the Grand Doge.

Directive 2/5/Ma
§A. Each Governor can call upon land to be taken. If the region does not belong to any nation, the interested Governor maintains the right to use his powers to take it and call upon all Lords in the Isle Republic of Madina to do so. If the region belongs to a nation, the interested Governor is obligated to ask permission from the Lord Admiral and the Grand Doge; permission from both is obligatory.
§B. Each Governor is only allowed to execute his rights mentioned in §A if he does so through his own army. In that case, the interested Governor maintains the right to request from every Lord to assign his Knights to the said army.
§C. Every Governor is obligated to discuss military plans with the Lord Admiral of the Isle Republic of Madina and seriously consider the Lord Admiral’s deliberate expertise.
§D. Every Governor is obligated to take the responsibility of every takeover made by his army and thus executing his right, he needs to make sure the conditions of Dicision 11. of the grand council of Madina are met to takeover a certain region.


Directive 4/5/Ma
§A. It is every governmental position’s duty to announce the intentions of resignation before every Governor of the Isle Republic of Madina the soonest as possible.


Article 6. It is every Knight’s and Citizen’s of the Isle Republic of Madina duty to protect the Lands of the Republic in case of foreign invasion.

Directive 1/6/Ma
§A. It is every Knight’s and Citizen’s duty to protect his superiors, his vassals, his family and himself.
§B. The Republican Army of the Isle Republic of Madina is therefore founded. The Republican Army may serve various objectives as set by the Lord Admiral of the Isle Republic of Madina.
§C. The Republican Army of the Isle Republic of Madina is under the command of the Lord Admiral of the Isle Republic of Madina. The assignment of Marshal to the Imperial Army is within the authority of the Lord Admiral.
§D. Every Lord of the Isle Republic of Madina is bound by the Constitution of the Isle Republic of Madina to contribute to the Imperial Army of the Isle Republic of Madina when requested, this must be done in respect to both parties involved. (ref. Article 5 and Article 6 of Const.)


Article 7. Every Duchy within the Republic of Madina is a legitimate electoral value.

Directive 1/7/Ma
§A. Each noble counts as one vote for the respective duchy.
§B. Every duchy individually elects the Governmental seats.



Decisions of the Grand Council of the Isle Republic of Madina

Decision 1. §A. Unaligned Nobles will be referred as Citizens of the Isle Republic of Madina.
§B. Aligned Nobles will be referred as Knights of the Isle Republic of Madina.
§C. Landed Lords will be referred as Lords of the Isle Republic of Madina and Dukes are Refered as Governors.
§D. The Grand Doge, the Councillors, the Governors and the Landed Lords of the Isle Republic of Madina when not clarified may be included in the terms “Knight” and “Lord” of the Isle Republic of Madina.

Decision 2. The Grand Council of Madina are all landed lords and the goverment of Madina.


Decision 3. The Lord Purser of the Isle Republic of Madina can overrule Directive 1/4/Ma entirely.

Decision 4. Only the Grand Doge of the Isle Republic of Madina is allowed to overrule Directive 1/5/Ma entirely. He only is allowed to execute this right when the homelands are in direct threat of invasion of any sort. By overruling Directive 1/5/Ma, the Lord Admiral comes in direct Military charge of every army and thus every member of any army of the Isle Republic of Madina.

Decision 5. Exceptions to Directive 5/3/Ma can be given only by the Lord Court Master of the Isle Republic of Madina.

Decision 6. §A. The Lord Court Master of the Isle Republic of Madina is responsible for the Law of the Isle republic of Madina to be respected. In every case of transgression, the Lord Court Master shall be held accountable.
§B. In every case of violation of the Law of the Isle Republic of Madina as composed of the aforementioned provisions and articles of the Constitution, punishment of the transgressor lies within the authority of the Lord Court Master of the Isle Republic of Madina. The Lord Court Master of the Isle Republic of Madina is an independent instrument of the government with regard to the practice of his authority.

Decision 7. §A. The Governor of each duchy maintains the right to decides on how his electoral value is used. As legitimate methods are recognised the following:
- The Governor can vote in the name of the entire duchy all by himself, while maintaining the right to be advised or consulted by anyone before reaching his conclusion.
- The Governor and his Lords can individually vote by representatives where all Lords vote for their entire Knighthoods as well as themselves.
- All Lords and Knights in the duchy are allowed to vote with equally weight.
§B. Each duchy delivers the results to the Grand Doge who in turn is responsible for the gathering and the combination of all the duchies’ results before coming to a legitimate conclusion.
§C. It is the Grand Doge’s duty to ensure that the electoral result is executed.

Decision 8. §A. Everything can be voted upon and only the Grand Doge maintains the right to call upon Elections.
§B. Every Duchy has the right to demand for Elections on anything through their Governor.

Decision 9. The Lord Court Master of the Realm is voted upon every month, this can only be changed by Constitutional Elections.

Decision 10. §A. Only Constitutional Elections are recognized as acceptable and legitimate. Any other form of Elections realm based other than Constitutional Elections are considered as illegal and false. §B. In case of of emergency, the dukes wil automaticly vote by representatives on any electable candidate.


Decision 11. §A. To take a certain area of land to be added to the Isle Republic of Madina the folowing condition needs to be met:
One or more noble(s) should both hold a claim of intrest and an oficial local (military) claim of the region at the end of the takeover.(For example by simply beeing present in the region with your unit during the takeover.)
§B. When the above conditions are met, The Grand Doge is always obligated to apoint anyone with the strongest oficial local claim when this is possible, this also counts for any other imperial region apointment.
§C. an oficial local claim is any claim that is reconized by the people of that specific region.

The Constitution for land rots, written by Governor Abbot of Madina

This extra addition is written to help explain the constitution to new comers to Madina and focused primarily on (new) Landowners(lords) of the realm.


Article 1 and 2 state that every citizen is equal in the Republic of Madina under its laws and constitution.


Article 3 is about freedom, which is revolutionary different than any other realm and thus further described bellow.

Directive 1/3/Ma: basically states the right of free speech and the condition under which this is can be expressed.

Directive 2/3/Ma: states the conditions of knighthood, the freedom to choose your own knighthood and dissolve a knighthood and the conditions under which this is allowed.

Directive 3/3/Ma: speaks for it's self, paragraph A is what matters.(mind that currently we are under the restrictions mentioned in this article) §A. Every Lord and Knight of the Isle Republic of Madina maintains the right to travel per wish, under there lords responsibility and autority as long as there are no reasons of national security to restrain that right.

Article 5 is about military rights and hierarchies which are very different from what your perhaps used to, which i recommend you to read thoroughly.


Article 6. It is every Knight’s and Citizen’s of the Isle Republic of Madina duty to protect the Lands of the Republic in case of foreign invasion. Which is further explained under Directive 1/6/Ma


Article 7 about the electoral system in Madina. Basicly, each duchy is governed independently with its own laws and electoral system. Inquire your governor on his electoral system and or laws if your not familiar of them. Threw History, local Laws have not been prominently about, the constitution covers enough in the eyes of most Governors.
