Interlude 7: Humility

Irdys listened quietly to what Xarnelf had to say. It made obvious sense to her. Keep to the laws, keep to dignity and once place. And the sound advice on birthplace was nothing more then reasonable.

A letter of recommendation though, from his grace the duke? She wasn't quite sure why she'd deserve it. No, she was quite sure she didn't deserve it... Then again, she certainly wouldn't go to argue with him. The composture held easily enough, although the words were truly welcome. Held that is, untill the offered sum of gold was named.
