Coma
"You let a few of them off the hook too easily, Xarne..." Urjintah Feralgem mused idly as they ate dinner back at the camp. "That boy clearly stole the apples from the trees on that old lady's land, and you just let him go with a severe admonishment."
Xarnelf turned to his friend. "Well, he's just a young lad with his whole life ahead of him. I won't condemn him for his naive, foolish actions on first strike. He'll come around, I'm sure of it."
Captain Feralgem shrugged. "If you say so; you are the Haruspex Maximus, after all."
Grinning, the young knight nodded and took another bite of his bread. All of a sudden, his head began hurting again, throbbing with growing agony similar to the past incidence after which he fell unconscious and woke up with a memory gap. He gasped in pain, dropping his food and falling to his side.
The hero's eyes unfocused, turning his vision blurry and making it swim in circles. Unable to resist, the darkness of oblivion took him once more.
Xarutek nodded to himself while the scene unfolded as planned.
