09.10.11 - Grentzen and Abaka - The Proving Ground

When ones world is in need, the knight seeking honour answers the call.

Proudly marching forth under the command of General Hendrick and Marshal Khain, the men of the Screaming Crows and Imperial Dragoons crossed the border between Minas Thalion and Oritolon. Defiant was their mood, ambitious were their actions. The first action of the war would take place on Oritolon soil in the region of Grentzen. A forested region that was sparsely populated and within a days journey of Oritolon City. It seemed to Boen a clever move that would show the strongest possible side of the army and make the start of the war quite awkward for the nobles of Oritolon.

A few days later the army was back in Abaka with much experience under their belts. The move was well calculated and well executed. But the Oritolon army was now on the advance and following the army of Minas Thalion right back onto homeground. So close behind they could be mistaken for the rear guard, battle would surely commence in fields and farms of Abaka.

Gather round men, said Boen, you all did good out there. Look, the enemy is defeated and retreating. We won. Then Senator Khain passed by and jeered, I bet you enjoyed that more than pushing paper round the offices of Alebad all day Boen.
