Pent Hilgrad is the forerunner of the Hilgrad family; his father a minor noble only, who led a peaceful life.

Pent is a polite and calm young noble. He attempts to treat everything as diplomatically as possible, and address everyone with their proper title. He attempts to act as honourably as possible, in order to establish the Hilgrad name as a family with Honour. In general, he prefers to be shy rather than outgoing. He is well educated, but it is his ambition to become a Region Lord, and become one of the continent's greatest swordsmen. He prefers finesse rather than brute force when in combat, and as such, he prefers lighter weapons and armour, with his weapon of choice being the Rapier.
