The mighty realm of Gotland, sprouted from the glorious city of Goathsemene. Originally, Gotland is a Thalmar colony which emphasizes on dedication to the Supreme King and to the wisdom of the Herd. As such, goats play a central role in the development and sustenance of Gotland's society. From their behavior, wisdom about human's society and laws can be deduced. Studying the Herd is critical to climb up the steps of hierarchy in Gotland.

Gotland culture is rough and martially orientated, heroism is encouraged, experience in warfare respected. Fighting the daimon invasion is Gotlands priority, and even during times of peace, Gotland will be preparing for war.

Several traditions and habits make Gotland quite unique among other realms, Goats are a very central aspect to those habbits. Their droppings are considered a potent medicine and are consumed in many dishes or drinks, among one of the famous: Gotland Goat ale, a brew enricvhed with goat milk, honey and goat droppings. Special saunas in dung heaps are also a particular habit that arent seen anywhere else. Smelling clean isn't considered pleasant, the pungent smell of bucks(male goats) is often viewed as the favorite oddor of both men and women.

Even in language, the people of Gotland refer to the herd, pastures or Goats in traditional sayings or songs.

Celebration is often an important aspect to society as well, where soldiers of Gotland arent fighting, they are celebrating and spreading tale sof heroism.

The government is a simple top down hierarchy, where a ruler is expected to rule till dead or abdication. Every new ruler that is appointed will claim his or her own title, often given by the people, indication his or her character or their way of ruling the realm. (the last rulers where called Exalted Tyrant Chilperik, Goatspeaker Sygg and Bloodscreamer Thessues) Even though elections are non existent, the ruler can choose to consult its people, which often happens.

The Manstomper leads the armies, being responsible for coordination and communication with allies, the Manstomper is appointed by the ruler and with the position comes an iconic sword, the Sabre of Goathair, which is handed down from Manstomper to Manstomper. The item is said to be made out of hair from the Great Goat himself and he who wields it will get the immediate attention of the great hairy one himself.

The position of Judge(whipmaster) or Banker (Leech) arent very different from other realms, they however have full authority and the trade of food is fully in control by the Leech for example.

Although they lack an official institute and are often considered as pagan by other faiths, the people here have a strong and distinct in the Great Goat(often also called hairy one, smelly one or other names). The Great Goat's favor is believed to be constantly contested, a good follower proves himself worthy on a daily basis to exceed the abilities and qualities of an average human being. This is done by waging battle, participating in tournaments, the butting of heads (dueling), drinking lots of goat mead or other wise proving ones worth. Practicing of this religion goes threw these actions of competition with others. The herd also actively observed by its followers, most inspiration comes from these studies, where one is dressed in Goat skins and moves about the herd pretending to graze with them for periods sometimes lasting days or even weeks.

The herd is also a metaphor for the realm and finding ones place in the herd, knowing how to follow is a vital aspect of growing closer to the Great hairy one.
