Amid the rolling hills a weathered wooden pillar can be seen. At its feet lie the rusted remains of broken weapons and once the wanderer gets closer, an inscription may be read: 'Marshal Kakeru of Riombara - true to his friends, honourable towards his enemies, remembered always.' Local peasants still tell the tale of the great marshals last charge during a battle against Luz de Bia in January 1007.
