Aeron and his Dawnguard marched into Dunnbrook. The unit was in much better condition then when Corna would have last seen them. Clad in shimmering silver armor. Carrying newly sewn and fresh banners two bearing both the Golden Sun of House Daubeny and two with the Thirteen Silver Stars of the Isle. For his part Aeron wore his armor, the same suit he had wore when Corna first met him though it was clearly polished.

The spirits of the Dawnguard seemed high as they walked along the rode towards the lavish gardens where they would find the Viscountess Wolfvern. Aeron dismounted as they arrived and he handed the reins to his Captain Dirlen.

Dirlen was a veteran of the civil war as most of the unit was but the key difference was that he was an ex Blackstone Legionnaire. He spoke with the clear accent of one hailing from the eastern mountains. A clear difference from the smoother accent of those from the west or the common accent of the Valleymen.

Aeron walked until he came across a servant. "Pardon me but I am looking for Lady Corna?" The young servant raised an eyebrow and motioned deeper into the gardens. Aeron nodded his thanks and walked deeper into the garden following the direction. He let out a rather quiet call "Lady Corna? It's Ser Aeron, I have arrived."

She heard Aeron's voice. Hidden behind a tall bush of flowers and vines she been waiting for Aeron. She had watched his arrival waiting with anxiety till her name was called.

"Lady Corna? It's Ser Aeron, I have arrived." She took a few seconds to build her courage and stepped out. She wore a slick black tight dress with intriguing designs at the top. At her feet she wore black high heels. It enhanced her figure for no curve was hidden. Her silver hair was straight with curls at the tips. "Hello Aeron. I've been waiting for you. " a smile Grace her face. She was happy but, didn't want over do her expression. "You look strapping in your armor. A lovely knight to I trust my protection. And my arm-candy. " She giggles at the word of it.

" Now we must be off to the wedding. I've held you up long enough. " She rushes to Aeron cheeks flushed red. Kissed the cheeks of his helmet and went by.. When she got the carriage She helped herself in.

"Off we go to Itau" and they were on there way.

Aeron froze as Corna came around the corner. A look of shock crossed his eyes as he scanned Corna's appearance. He felt a smile cross his face as his cheeks burnt a slight red. "Of all the stars that sparkle in the night sky you are the most enchanting." He shook his head. "uh, yes Hello M'lady Wolfvern, I am glad you did wait. I am sorry it took so long to get here." She smiled and Aeron's beamed a happy smile back. His cheeks went a deep red as he muttered in surprise. "A-armcandy?" She giggled and Aeron felt his heart leap in his chest, Corna came up and kissed the cheek of his helmet and Aeron wished now that he had not worn one.

Aeron escorted her to the white and gold carriage which was a surprisingly large carriage, pulled by strange and strong horses which had a red coat and black manes. Aeron opened the door and Corna helped herself in.

Inside the carriage Corna would see a comfortable double bed, several boxes of wine and a dress rack in the corner. There was also a canvas stand that had been put away into a corner beside the bed. Opposite the bed was a rather comfy looking couch. As Aeron climbed in he pointed out the various things inside the carriage.

"Amazing isn't it, my people used to make these carriages for long distance travels, even the horses were specially bred to pull the carriage. The carriages can't be made anymore sadly, But the bed can be shifted slightly to make it two smaller beds if it suits you Corna, that canvas stand can be put up and allow one of us to stand behind it to change out of any clothing, I will probably get out of my armor soon and get my suit back on."

He then pointed to the dress rack. "I am bringing Lady Haide a few dresses that she ordered but forgot to take with her before she fled to Itau, she asked me to bring them in for her. There are however a few spare dresses that got mixed into the order, including one for me funnily enough but I prefer suits to dresses." he then motioned to the wine. "Some is for drinking on the way there but much of this is to serve as my gift to the Sakellion and Vestarch for their wedding." Aeron grinned and then pointed to the couch. "And obviously the couch, which is where we can sit."

He then leaned out the the door. "Off to Itau." The carriage slowly began to move and Aeron closed the door, the Knight then sat down onto the couch and smiled content. "I hope you like it, it was a bit of work to get one of my homeland's carriages brought over to Tol Goldora so fast."

Corna had entered the carriage and was amazed. The carriage was no small thing it was quite big. She never had seen such a thing before. "Oh my Aeron I'm really surprised by all this." Her eyes wandered to every "Beds in a carriage, wine, and couches what. Who or what is your family? Are you royalty or some of kin to it." She walked around to the wine rack. "Oh over never heard of these but, I see your family dabbles in the winery as well. Your family does a lot of stuff I see. "

She picks a bottle of Blackstone apple grabs two glasses and proceeds to go sit on the beds. " Oh these are nice as well soft and comfy, yet Stern enough for good support. " She smile. "This is going to be a fun ride. " Aeron says he going to change soon and Corna gets a smirk. " No need to move anything my Dear. " She bottles the and pours herself a nice size cup of wine. Swirls it a around and says" You have no need to hide and thing from me. " her voice as flirtatious tease with a hint of seriousness. She sips on the wine keeping firm eye contact with Aeron. Pats the bedding "In this trip we have plenty of time to get well acquainted with each other. Isn't that what your wanted."

After a few moments she turns her head to see the dresses he has for Lady Haide. "The dress are quite nice. I like the colors on them. I'm sure she'll like them as well."

She looks back at Aeron and sips" Now I want to see you change for me.. put undress and put your suit on."

"This carriage is an old relic, an antique Royal Daubeny Carriage." He realized what he said and immediately followed up. "Though my family isn't much of royalty anymore, I mean I am a prince but that's just an honorific."

He smiled and changed topics to wine. "Indeed, my family has often dabbled in wine making, since the Great War it's how my family makes its fortunes." He raised and eyebrow as she took a bottle of the Blackstone Apple Cider, it was clad in black bottle with a familiar symbol of a Great Helm and Sword being split in two by a sword. Seeing it caused a slight pain to ache in his heart.

Aeron blushed furiously as Corna told him he had nothing to hide from her. "I...suppose you are right yes." He glanced away and a small smile crossed his face. Before he locked eyes with Corna. "Well acquainted, yes that is what I had hoped, you are truly one of the most fascinating people I have ever met, there is just something about you." His smile widened. "I just can't help but keep thinking about you...I hope that doesn't sound strange."

He adjusted his glasses and nodded to the dresses. "They are fine indeed, all made of a smooth silk, I sewn them myself, only two are for Haide, one was to be a gift for her girlfriend Lady Nalaya, one was a gift for Lady Hwitt." He smiled and picked up a dress, it was a fine blue with silver detailing, a star imprinted on the back of it, his smile seemed to fade. "I don't remember packing this one, this was my mothers dress, must have forgotten to take it off the dress rack before leaving Golden Farrow." He put it back on the rack, his face taking a slight frown.

His ears perked up as Corna spoke again, he turned and blinked. "You want me to change...in front of you?" He blinked in shock as his face turned a deeper shade of red then Corna had seen it go before.

Aeron started to mumble for a moment before sighing and giving a small smile. "Well, I suppose there isn't anything wrong with it, it's just armor." Aeron started to undo the straps holding his armor to him. Starting with his arm guards and working down to his legs. He had removed most of his armor except his chest plate, he sighed and tried to reach a strap just behind his left side but could reach. He spun for a quick moment before giving a quiet sigh.

Corna stepped up behind him and gently undid the strap, allowing Aeron to pull his chestplate off, he blushed and quietly said. "Thank you." He pulled off the green gambeson and was left before Corna in his simple tunic and trousers.

He hesitated a moment before taking his glasses off and setting them on the bed, he pulled his shirt off and set it aside. Aeron's body was muscular, the body of a warrior. But to Corna's shock he was covered in faded burn scars, running all along the left side of his body up to his neck, leaving a ragged crisscrossing patterns. He stood before Corna and shifted, clearly uncomfortable. "I..I am sorry, I am not used to letting people see my scars."

He undid his belt and pulled his trousers down, he was left in just his smallclothes but in his near naked state Corna could see his both his legs had slight burn scars, less then his torso and arms but still noticeable. He went over to the couch and pulled out a drawer where he grabbed and then changed into a fresh pair of trousers. He pushed the drawer shut and then sat down on the bed beside Corna, still shirtless. "This is what you requested right? I would personally leave my suit unworn until we reach Itau, it will be a few days travel and I don't want the suit I am wearing to the wedding to be stained or damaged in anyway."

He put his glasses back on and brushed his hair aside, giving Corna a brief glimpse at the burn scar that partly ran up the left side of his face. He smiled sweetly at Corna and the slightest hints of mischief cross his eyes. "So are you going to change too? If we are getting out of all these fancy clothes of course." Aeron seemed to realize what he had just suggested and his face again turned red in embarrassment. "Of course if you don't want to that's fine I..uh..sorry."

Visiting Corna

Corna watched intently as Aaron began to undress his chest piece. When he had struggled to get these straps off his back she aided and helped him happily. When he was done he asked if she would do the same but do the same. She did and begun unzipping the side of her dress. Unlike Aeron she didn't have much to wear besides her dress so just wore her undergarments. Her naked skin was clean besides the 2 marks on her back one a crow and the other a raven.

She put her dress on the bed. And walked towards Aeron. She graced her hands all over he's scars. The marks of flame had left him marked. "Tell me how you got these scars. " her hands traced ever inch of his scarred body. She did these for a fee moments before taking his hand. Tell me on the couch.

She guided him to she sit. "Sit here on the edge I want to lay on you as you tell me." She patted where she wanted him to sit. He obeyed an sat. When he did she cuddled in on. One arm spread along his shoulders and the other on his thighs. She looked into his eyes. A since of fragility can be seen. She really wanted to know how he was so wounded. "Let me know if you need anything I will be happy to oblige."

Hours where spent telling of stories between the two.. eventually she would fall asleep on his shoulder. She was happy to be this close.

Aeron felt his heart skip a beat as Corna undressed before him, as she turned and placed her dress down Aeron saw two marks on her back, a crow and a raven. He began to speak when she suddenly walked up to him and started to gently graze her hand along his scars. He instinctively grabbed her hand as a look of fear came across his eyes. He locked eyes with Corna and sighed before gently guiding her hand higher to the scars along his arm. "The scar on my side is sensitive, I am sorry..." She took his hand and guided him towards the couch, asking him to tell her about his scars.

He nodded solemnly and sat, as he did Corna cuddled close to him, he felt a need to hold her close. As he began to once again think about that dark day, he looked into her eyes are tried to smile. He gently pulled her closer to him, kissing her lips as his right hand carefully massaged the small of her back. He seemed happy to be this close to Corna.

"It is a dark tale my lady, but I shall tell it if you wish." He sighed and began to recount the story. "I was twelve when it happened for nearly five years my family had been locked in a civil war, the House of Blackstone waged brutal war on the House of Sunstone. I saw my first battle when I was seven, my father died in that battle, my mother died in childbirth with me...I only had my brother Micheal, he looked after me, trained me." All sense of joy seemed to drain from him as he continued. "My own family, cousins and uncles tried to kill me, we were losing the war and so we retreated to the our ancestral home, Sunstone Keep. It had never been taken, no army could break it."

He paused and let out a shaky breath as he could almost again hear the clashing of swords and the screams of the dying, he held Corna close to him. "The siege lasted nearly a month but the Blackstones used their assassins, they snuck into the castle, opened the gates and set the main hall on fire." He felt tears flowing down his cheeks. "They barred the doors and even when we opened them, they shot crossbows into the hall. I tried to find another way out, I screamed for my brother. He never came to help me."

He gently ran a hand alongside the burn scar on his face and let out another shaky breath as with a voice heavy with sorrow spoke. "The Main hall collapsed into a burning pile of wood, I was trapped. Pinned down and left to burn, I only survived because of how close to the corner I was." He closed his eyes for a moment before speaking again. "I was alone when I finally got free from the timbers, I looked for my brother, for anyone. Nothing, they were either dead of had fled, I was all alone."

He finished his tale. "The civil war ended a few years after, I was brought back to the Capital and that is where I lived for eight years, until now."

He let out a long sigh and wiped his tears. He looked into Corna's beautiful eyes. "Corna, you said I could just ask if I needed anything?" He waited a small moment before kissing Corna, after a few seconds he broke contact and asked quietly. "Can we stay like this together, I like this, it makes me feel safe."
