Dakka Family/Lornak

Lornak Dak

The Dakka family is not a single house but 2 different houses controlled by the main Dakka house. The members of the lower families are destined to live out their lives as servants, courtiers, and (at best) trusted managers of the family's many small franchises. However, the Dakka familiy's main house is not so stuck up that they would prevent their distant relatives from knowing the prestige that they gain from being great nobles. Every 7 years a member of the lesser family that shows great promise is given a spear and some old armor and shipped off to prove themselves in combat against the terrors that plague the islands. For those that become extremely successful nobility and knighthood are the reward. However, few reach this mark as they are slain in combat while attempting to rid the world of the monsters and undead. Lornak is the most recent member of the Dak house to be given this great honor.

Discovery

Lornak was selected for his great honor by Skriznack after he displayed exceptional abilities in battle while fighting in the Skriznack's Mental Scars unit. In the middle of a particularly vicious battle Lornak saved Skriznack's life from a swordsman's blade. Out of gratitude Lornak was made sub-captain and later gifted with two lances from the Dakka armory. One night after after a round of drinks with his friend, Lornak asked to be given the honor of becoming an adventurer. Skriznack relented, though sad to lose such an able fighting man, and allowed him to take leave to Far East Island where he joined the realm of Soliferum and began is great quest.
