Cult of Bloodmoon

The Bloodmoon fruit native to the lush forested regions of the Raviel island area is a type of tree that is quite common and frequently used by native Dwili as a mild intoxicant and energy enhancer. It wasn't until the arrival of the eastern Nobles and the foundation of the more technically advanced civilizations that advanced cultivation techniques were used to refine the Bloodmoon fruit in its potency. For as long as man has roamed the central area of the land of Dwilight the drug in its milder form has been used in conjunction with certain celestial changes. A common sympton or side effect of taking the potent form of Bloodmoon is hallucinations and ability to see the future. Some have attributed the fruit effect symbiosis to mans connection with nature and with the universe. Some have suggested that Bloodmoon and its effects are symbiosis be influenced by the ether of the universal voice.

To this day there only a handful of people in the Dwilight world nobility to have professed to have used or experimented with Bloodmoon. There are even fewer who use it for religious ceremony. It remains in use for a fringe of Bloodmoon spirit world travellers and the lesser peasant groups of Dwilight. It still remains a mystery to many outside of Ravielian aboriginal groups.

The cult is dedicated to scientific mysticism along the lines of the Thesophist, esoteric arts and divination. To search and discover the world using the methods of the ancients and combine it with the advanced sciences of the medieval age.

To present a medieval view of science and the esoteric. This guild does not aim to explain the workings of the world in a scientific modern matter. The aim is to create a fantastical and whimsical explanations for common place occurences in Dwilight. This guild will delve into the mind and alchemy and search the land for items of magic and the unexplained.

Current Discoveries/Feel free to add new discoveries

-The sky is actually a fabric that the stars are actually hung on, its just that the fabric is very far away. If one was to reach it he would be able to climb it.

-The Bloodstars can be reached if one was able to build a high enough stairway. Stars are actually small enough to be carried and one is said to have resided in the Storms keep lighthouse in ages passed.

-The western ocean of the north was actually a continent ages ago and there are pillars coming from the ocean near the Bloodstars far far in the west.

-The monsters of Dwilight possess intelligent faculty and speech. If with proper training it is said they could learn remedial tasks like cleaning pots and pans and or serving people and foot massages.

-The Bloodmoon fruit is actually the key to a gateway into another reality beyond our own.

-The use of entrail reading of certain beasts can be read to determine the outcome of battles, important events and weather changes.
