Leatho has sandy blonde hair and icy pale blue eyes that seem to peer right into a person's soul. He usually keeps his beard smoothly trimmed, as it hides most of a scar that traces his jaw on the left side of his face. The scar was given to him by an enemy soldier's lance. During the battle that Leatho was given that scar he watched the slaughter of his entire unit, along with his captain and best friend as he lay helpless and bleeding on the ground. Leatho's close friend Gabriel was the only one to survive that battle aside from Leatho himself.

Leatho is the son of Kylar and Ilena and brother to Lillian, he never knew his parents very well due to his fathers death when he was only 2 and his mother sent him to live with his grandparents on Atamara. Leatho grew up as a happy child, his grandparents spoiling him with almost everything he wished for. After about 10 years he decided that he wanted to see the world. So when he was 12 years old he started to travel around Atamara and see what there was to see. 5 years later he recruited a unit of Calvary and joined Carelia.
