Scarbran Lost to Carelia, Cagilan Empire|
+
* Other publised news

Reports in the south tell that Scarbran, recently conquered by Abington, is now lost again after the remnants of the Northern Alliance attacked the region after the mighty Abington army left, incidentally violating a truce agreement the Cagilan Empire had made with Abington. As well, Kilbranba was attacked by the CE forces.

Abington nobles are outraged, though not surprised, at the inability of the so-called Empire to maintain it's word. Lord Callisto of Abington had this to say: "The Cagilan Empire has broken their word... time to kick their teeth in." Sir Ausliva of Swanfolk echoed this view. "Abingtonians! Wake up are prepare war towards those Chaotic evil scum! for this moment, we will not continue our journey to our homeland, but will return to the battlefield once more time!"

Nevertheless, Abington leadership is confident that this setback will be reversed. Northern Alliance forces are suspected of having ambitions of launching another invasion of Abington or allied RedSpan, but are considered likely to regret such actions.

More news as it unfolds.

title=Battle in Scarbran, Abington Victorious|

article=Just three days and nine hours ago (at time of this printing), the forces of once-proud Carelia waged a mighty battle to prevent the takeover of Scarbran by the Kingdom of Abington, and lost. Gauihu of Abington tells his account.

"It was a very calm and mild winter's day as the troops from Abington set up defenses. Baron Carriantor, Marshal of the Army of Wayburg, took command of the 29 Abington noble troopleaders and their 1,329 soldiers as the expected Carelian counter-attack came. Like the defending southerners the Carelians relied more on infantry than archers, but were distinctly outnumbered with but 756 men on the field. Carelian mixed infantry, once able to swing the tide of battle in their favor in some earlier battles with the Southern Alliance, provided no such service on this day.

"The mighty infantry wall of Abington broke ranks as three eager nobles set out to meet the attackers. Leah of Abington and Leonidas of Carelia were wounded in the melee while ten banners of Abington marked the joining of battle like gravestones. But it was Carelia's ambitions who were buried, as the feared cavalry arm crashed into the ranks of their infantry and decimated their own horsemen. Feldric's Legionary Cavalry made a name for themselves as did all Abington; the army of Wayburg advanced like a mobile castle laying siege to the attackers. Cymoril of Carelia was seriously wounded, and yet more banners of Abington rose over the field just as Carelian conscripts lay fallen in the cold soil of Scarbran.

"Broken, the Imperial army retreated and then routed before the advancing wrath of Gabriel's will."

Nobles also wounded during the glorious battle included Night Elf, Countess of Taree, Halden, Count of Canock, Aramil, and Arch-Priest of Carelia and Duke of Stormbran; all of Carelia.

Deschain of Abington, Count of Tarkhog, had this to say of the battle. "What a fine and proper battle; it is rare these days that two armys can clash and produce the type of battle that is heard of across the continent."

Twelve hours after the battle, Sir Kronos, the King of Carelia, alone attempted a brave attack on the Abington occupiers, and like his men was quickly captured and imprisoned.

Scarbran is now a province of Abington.
