Aestus is a badlands region in the central area of the East Island. It is located south of the Akesh Mountains, directly south of the Akesh Temple.
Description
Warm winds blowing in from the coastlines of Supra and Aureus cool as they reach the Akesh mountains, resulting in heavy rainfall much of the year round. The result is the fens of Aestus, a wide expanse of scrub and marshland; a flat, featureless land of big skies and hard lives. The people here are tough and stoic, weathered but unbeaten by the harsh landscape of their home. -- Mungo Hossenfeffer 2 January 2008
