Family Letter - Part III
Sirion City, in the Tavern

Erik was walking in the direction of the tavern while the scribe went a little behind, arranging the heavy bag that he carry around of the shoulders. Whenever Erik went to the tavern, he dressed elegant clothes so that he was not confused with a Knight or with one of his soldiers. On that night he dressed a rich dark blue waistcoat with silver buttons. Metallic ailettes with the heraldic symbols of the serpent held a heavy red cape that involved his body. The tavern was not very far, for that he released the horse. Therefore the nobleman was pushing the wood door to enter in that place populated of prostitutes and soldiers.

Scribe: "I don't believe that you continues frequenting those places, Sir..."

Erik Eyolf: "Don't worry me with your stupid morality. Go and catch a wine for me. And perhaps a woman for you."

Nesrah was already an old man, but in his youth he frequented that tavern many times. The women were different but the cheap and strong wine was the same. The old elf was in a table with the stranger visitor. And it was not difficult to imagine the strangeness that populated the tavern that night: the soldiers and women with white skin and tined ears looked with curiosity at the black man with bedouin clothes. And Nurzahn was also surprised for being in such different place with people that he had not imagined in his crazier dreams. They had eyes and colored hair that went from the gray to something similar to the green. Happily, the prejudice that could exist for the differences it was completely quiet for they know that the stranger visitor was a guest of Lord Erik Eyolf Serpentis, the Dragon of Dolmbar. Then there was just a mutual curiosity.

Nesrah: "Come to sit with us, Lord Erik!"

Erik Eyolf: "Excuse my delay... I was reading the letter that Nurzahn brought. The letter really explained many subjects, mainly the increase in the finances of my family."

Nurzahn: "I am happy that the letter possesses good news, Lord Serpentis. I already ordered that some employees take the chest to your house when the sun appears."

Erik Eyolf: "You are my guest and you will stay some days in my house until I prepare some presents and write a letter to Gregor. And now... you said that was a pirate or explorer. Why don't you talk me a little about your life? I think all here are curious..."

Nurzahn lifted of the chair and looked around. Many curious eyes observed him. He thought quickly about a form of taking advantage of all that attention and at the same time to answer the Erik's question. Then, he sang:

Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream

I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been

To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen

They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed

Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, whose sounds caress my ear

But not a word I heard could I relate, the story was quite clear

Oh, I been flying...

All I see turns to brown, as the sun burns the ground

And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land

Trying to find, trying to find where I've been.

Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace, like thoughts inside a dream

Hid the path that led me to that place, yellow desert stream

My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon, I will return again

Sure as the dust that floats high in June, when movin' through Kashmir.

Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails, across the sea of years

With no provision but an open face, along the straits of fear!

The man sang and gesticulated with the arms. When he finished the music, he beat the hand in the chest. The silent tavern woke up after that song, screaming and commemorating.

The music is Kashmir, of Led Zeppelin. Some modifications were made for the context of RP. About Kashmir and Sangri-La, in the RP the concepts can be different, since nobody heard to speak about those regions. And about "ailettes" and other parts of armors: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ailette)
