Qyrvagg's blessings be upon you, brave nobles of Heen!

For a long time we in the Church have kept you in our prayers and in our hearts, for numerous reasons. For many of us, Heen is an ally of our mother nations. For all of us, Heen is a place where an ethic of courage overpowered an ethic of weakness and cowardice, thus it is near and dear to the heart of every Qyrvaggian. Some of you may have known Ilandra, who held the rank of Missionary Primus in the Church, converted about half of the population of Vice and a large portion of the population of Varyamo Nolvo to Qyrvaggism, thus aiding in the destruction of said realms and of Hedonism, and helped administer several southern Heenite regions, and was later made Baroness of Watto.

Unfortunately, for reasons unknown to the Church, Ilandra has left these lands. But it is the sincere hope of all Qyrvaggians that those in Heen whom we already consider friends may soon become fellow travellers on the Path of the Amekanun: the Path of the Warrior. Duke Kagurati tells us of the religious diversity of Heen, and that is truly a blessing for you. It is a cause of joy to the Church to hear that our friends, and fellow believers in the truth of Qyrvagg (though you call it by another name), in the Path of the Great Dragon are present in Heen.

I do not know how many of you are familiar with Qyrvaggism, and I wish I could be present in Heen personally to answer your questions, but my role as head of the Church require me to remain near the holiest sites in Qyrvaggism in Bolkenia and Irombro. But all the same, it is my desire to make the truth of Qyrvagg known in Heen. Yes, it is true, I also desire to see many Heenite nobles convert to Qyrvaggism, but what I desire more is for you to know what we teach and what we believe. We have the poor fate of being an often misinterpreted religion, much to my sadness.

We believe that the goal of human life is to become better. That is to say, to progress from what we currently are (good, bad, or somewhere in between) into a better person. It is our belief that this is achieved through conflict, both of the spirit and the body. That is to say, we believe that hard times (such as the difficult times created by Heen's wars of purification) purify us, like silver through a crucible. Heen is, in fact, a perfect example of this. You are stronger because of the trials and hardships put in your path, and because you overcame them. It is this belief that defines Qyrvaggism: that humanity ought to be made as great and virtuous as possible, and that this is done through persevering through conflict.

For this reason Qyrvagg is, among other things, a God of War and Battle. Understand, we do not glorify bloodshed and carnage. We detest killing as much as the next person. What we glorify is the conflict, not the casualties. The test of skill, of courage, of loyalty. Battle shows who is willing to die for a cause, and who is not.

Please, consider what I have said, and think about it. If you desire to learn more, we have temples in Watto and Tahgalez. If you come there, you are not obligated to stay: we have had many come and go, to learn but not to stay. But we do encourage you to stay and grow with us and walk the Path of the Amekanun.

Sincerely,

-Amekal, Third Prophet of Qyrvaggism
