Fontan Assembly

The Legislative Body of Fontan which holds veto power over proposals from the High Council. Its governing constitution follows.

Fontan Assembly

1. Membership

-> Two assemblymen shall be elected per duchy, by a simple majority of duchy's knights, and lords. A duke may veto any election, but can be over-ridden by a simply majority of his local lords.

-> Elections for assemblymen are to be held every month.

2. Responibilities

-> The assembly will be presented from time to time proposals by the Chancellor or High Council. They may approve or defeat any proposals by a simple majority vote. If a proposal is defeated the Chancellor can present the proposal to the realm who may over-rule the assembly by a two thirds vote.

3. Limitations

-> By a three fourths vote the High Council may expel any member of the Assembly.

-> The assembly has no legislative power, but may present to the Chancellor and High council a petition for action.

-> No member of the High Council may also be an assemblyman.
