Serpentis Family/Erik Eyolf/Rain & Storm - Part II
The squire was outside the tent waiting for an answer. He had traveled from Avamar to meet Lady Rain, always taking great care on the roads. He knew that Duke Erik always choose funny and evil ways to punish his servants. And if he lost the Crown of Avamar the punishment would be terrible. Now he just have to wait, so he took a deep breath. The hardest part of his mission was completed.
However, the messenger knew that his Lord would want an immediate answer. And any negative would certainly let the Duke very furious. The young scribes who served the Silver Dragon had a strange custom for urgent messages. They had to carry a crow tied by a thin silver chain perched on their shoulder. The young man breathe in peace when her squire came back with a positive answer.
Scribe: "Tell me, where M'Lady Rain will stay? I am sure the Duke will travel to meet her anywhere..."
The squire made some notes in a small scroll, cleaned it with a handful of ashes he collected in his belt bag. He and tied with the crow and released the black bird to found the Duke. Scribe: "Tell your Lady that Duke Erik will find her in some days. I should not say this, but he mentioned something about marriage. I work for him for some time and I have to say: Duke Erik Eyolf Serpentis is certainly more eccentric than any noble I've ever heard. And if he thinks he should marry Lady Rain, I believe that sooner or later we will be working together. However, no matter how distorted he may seem, we live with him and we know him enough. He's one of the most honorable and kind elf you can find... at least when he's sober. Perhaps he finds interesting tie the titles. After all, the two led Dolmbar and Trinbar. Duke Romul is probably the best friend of my Lord. I'm sure you'll say that to your Lady. In fact, she should know. After a nod he departed. The crow would find the elf. Erik liked to be in control and knowing that far away a young Lady who hated him was now holding his Crown full of curiosity.
