Duke of Avamar

Erik had walked through the city and recognized once again every thing that now belonged to him. He was tired. Very tired. After a long journey and a hard battle in Juazeiro. He was tired of the politcs involved. Tired of himself.

That should be a day to celebrate. But he had no reason to do so. Perhaps it was best just continue as Judge of Sirion. And now he knew he would give his position to someone younger. He left Trinbar and Dolmbar. The Margrave was Duke now. Duke of Avamar. In the end he could not get used very well with the new title. He entered the silent halls. A strange room. He has not drank or smoked his herbs. Not undressed with young women. He just fell into the bed and slept a deep sleep.

Erik didn't need 99 years. The sleep was long enough to the snake sheds the skin. The Silver Dragon awoke like the real Duke of Avamar. He awoke in a strange room. He walked along a strange place. He found a servant in the main hall after a long yawn.

Erik Eyolf: "This is boring place..."

Servant: "Duke Popsi was a Priest, M'Lord."

Erik Eyolf: "This is my castle now. We will have a lot of changes. Not just in the castle... in the entire city."

Servant: "As you wish, M'Lord..."

Erik walked up to a balcony to looke the city below him. He knew the great temple of Avamar. He smiled. It would take only a few days to make Avamar what he thought and wanted. With dancers and priestesses. Bards and sorcerers. A place to celebrate the life and the end of a great war. New paintings and statues should be erected in his name. He didn't need 99 years to reach that position. But he was sure that Avamar will remember him forever.
