"1Greetings once again, members of the Path of the Great Dragon!

Of late, I have heard tell of the sermons of one of your, as far as I am aware, founding and leading members, Roland Occum. 2They seem to have circulated and been refined a bit, into standard sermons and are being used in temples in Fronen. Qyrvaggian believers in Fronen have heard them, and word has, at long last, reached me.

3I am greatly encouraged by what I hear from you! Everything I heard about the Path of the Great Dragon makes me believe more and more that we are merely two aspects of the same meta-idea, or meta-being, or what have you.

4Allow me to use just, as far as I am familiar with them, some sermons which are attributed by the peasants to, somewhere down the line, Roland Occum: "I believe intellectual discourse is healthy for us. Wisdom can be found in the clash of ideas and logical arguments. I applaud what Covenant and Legault are doing now; they give their point of view, and consider the other’s. Consideration is the root of all justice. From consideration, we gain not only justice, but temperance and tolerance."

5This is exactly what the Church of Qyrvagg teaches! It could almost be a quote from the Tome of Wars! The clash of ideas and logical arguements creates discovery of truth. 6In that sermon, of course, truth is depicted as consideration, which leads to justice, temperance, and tolerance.

Allow me, for a moment, to discuss justice, temperance, and tolerance.

7Qyrvaggism has little to say on the topic of justice. That which Qyrvagg does not tell us, we make no comment on, and leave it open to the interpretation of believers (so long as said interpretation does not lead to contradiction of anything Qyrvagg has already told us). 8But Qyrvagg IS a just God. He rewards those who have done well, and punishes those who have done evil. Those rewards and punishments sometimes come in this life, and sometimes in eternity, according to Qyrvaggian beliefs. 9Because Qyrvagg is a just God, and because we seek to show the same virtues as Qyrvagg, Qyrvaggians are called to behave justly and rightly.

10Temperance, I shall interpret this as moderation, which is a terminology I am more familiar with. 11Qyrvaggism also teaches temperance! Many have said Qyrvaggism is merely a bloodthirsty religion of warmongering, because they fail to see that we advocate temperance. 12We do not believe it is right to start a war for the sake of bloodshed! We believe that conflict is preferential to peace (be it internal or external), because growth happens in conflict. 13We believe in moderation. For, to walk the Path of the Amekanun, one must not stray either to the right, or the left. One must take the middle path. 14Some in the Church of Qyrvagg have tried to say that we should shun physical war, for growth is through MENTAL conflict. Others have tried to say that we should seek war, and seek fighting and bloodshed, for Qyrvagg is, after all, the God of War and Battle. But, in the end, the Church believes that there must be balance, moderation, temperance.

15Lastly, there is tolerance. In the Church of Qyrvagg, we are probably notably less tolerant than the Path of the Great Dragon. In fact, this may be the very largest difference between the Church and the Path. 16The Church teaches that there is one true path to Qyrvagg's Paradisal City, one true way to behave(as determined by the flow of the Amekanun), and that the finer points of doctrine are to be taught by the Prophet, as aided, supported, and counseled by the Council of Elders (which, allow me to say, is a very diverse group whom I have gone to for aid and counseling concerning spiritual matters many a time). 17We tolerate difference, for Qyrvagg is glorified in the clash of difference. Just as there is male and female, so must there always be difference. BUT, we have a line in the sand, beyond which is heresy. 18Heresy is definitely forgiveable, but, essentially, when one is outside the lines, one is not on the path of Qyrvagg's Paradisal City. Therein lies the difference, I believe, between the Church and the Path. We are less tolerant. 19We encourage difference... but in moderation. We excercise temperance in all things.

20Allow me to say I have also heard word of Roland's sermon concerning real-politick, and I was, quite honestly, moved by it. I have often pondered where Qyrvaggism should stand in regards to governments and nations and politics, and we have always attempted to stay far withdrawn from politics, attempting to be unaffiliated with all nations; wholly independent. 21Yet, if our teachings allowed direct connection between Church and State, I would most assuredly adopt the beliefs concerning real-politick that the PGD seems to hold, from what I can tell.

22Forgive me if I make too broad of generalizations concerning the beliefs of the Path of the Great Dragon. My intellect understands that you hold many diverse beliefs and lifestyles within the greater community, it is merely that I find that so different from how the Church of Qyrvagg works, in that we all believe, essentially, the same things. I do not say your ways are wrong, merely different, and a challenge for me to adapt my manners of discussion to.

23All the same, I look forward to closer relations between our two faiths. May the blessings of Qyrvagg be upon you.
