Family Letters - Part I
Sirion City, in the Count's House

Erik was in Sirion after a long travel through the northern regions facing great hordes of monsters and undeads. He cursed Skezard and knew that many people, in different times, thought in pacifying that damned region. Erik thought that would be better to invade the small island with the Stormwalkers and set fire in everything.

After organizing the troops and accompany the repairs, Erik gave an interval for the soldiers rest in one of the taverns. In the last weeks the administrators convinced Erik to buy a comfortable house in the city. They didn't judge that was a noble attitude to continue sleeping in taverns with doubtful women. In the luxurious office the youth Count didn't have women, but he could drink a good wine of Dolmbar and answer all the letters that he had received in the last days. The fire crackled in the fireplace and the scribe was seated in a smaller table with his pappers, featherses and ink. He went transcribing the messages that the Count dictated while drank the wine. The two were interrupted when somebody knocked on the door and entered in the office. He was Nesrah, the old elf.

Nesrah: "Count Serpentis, a man arrived that night in the port and he wants to speak with you."

Erik Eyolf: "Order him to enter."

The man entered slowly in the room. He dressed a typical brown tunic of the men of the desert with great cloth strips around the chest. His skin was black and the eyes were small and darkness. For an instant the surprise was big. Erik had never seen a man with that skin color.

Nurzhan: "Akahal edb mors!"

Erik Eyolf: "What???"

Nesrah laughed with that situation. The two definitively didn't speak the same language. Nurzahn was also very surprised with the differences. He had never seen an elf until arriving in Sirion. Those men (Sirionites) had white skin and strange ears. Erik lifted slowly and had a great sip of the wine, only then arrived close to observe such different man.

Nesrah: "He is a messenger. A type of pirate. He speaks a language that I learned studying in old books. I think somebody taught a little of our language for him."

Nurzahn: "Excuse me, Lord Serpentis. My name is Nuzrahn, in your language that means "Light Soul". I was born in Abilotiel, in Far-East. I have a small ship with a good crew. We traveled for the world in search of good businesses or in exploration missions. Now I am working for Lord Gregor Eyolf Serpentis, Baron of Abilotiel and Lord Gold of Papania."

Erik Eyolf: "Gregor? I have a relative in Far-East, but his name is Vinatyfir."

Nurzahn: "I brought a letter that will explain everything. I also have a chest in my ship. Lord Gregor sent some presents."

The messenger caught the letter and offered to Erik. The youth Count caught the letter and looked at the stamp with the symbol of the serpent.

Erik Eyolf: "Nesrah, show the tavern for our visitor and offer him a good wine. I will read that letter and later I will meet with you to discuss that subject."

The two men made a reverence and left the office. Erik was again alone with the scribe, and he was very curious, but didn't ask anything. The Count served a new portion of wine and he sat down, catching the dagger to open the letter.
