Dueling between nobles shall form a means of solving civil disputes.

1. For what ever reason, two nobles decide that their dispute can only be solved by skill at arms.

2. The parties invoke a realm-wide request for a witness to the duel. A witness -must- hold any realm position, being a lordship, council position, marshall / vice-marshal or diplomat in order to be eligible. The aggrieved parties may choose between eligible volunteers.

3. The witness must facilitate and record the terms of the duel and the actions required of the winner and loser. The witness must put these terms in the public domain prior to the duel taking place.

4. The two parties face off and duel to resolve their dispute. Duels to wound are most common; duels to the death must be reserved for the highest of insults.

5. The witness publicly proclaims the winner and demands the actions dictated of the loser. If these are not fulfilled within the nominated timeframe (or one week, whichever comes first), the witness petitions the High Arbiter for judgement against the virtues of Honor and Righteousness.
