Joining Fontan

Hamilton joined Fontan during a warm May in 1008. He quickly found a liege in the Duke of Westmoor, Basilius and helped engage in actions around Ashforth in the Democratic Guard. Simultaneously, he found political allies in Lorrie Furion Archbane, Alise Athins, Moira Dubhaine, Alexi Pelevin, Gregor Relak and Mikhail Romanov. He was still friendly to the opposition. At the time, he was merely testing the political relations.

Confederacy of Fontan

Gregor seceded Fontan and as to be expected messages became a blizzard. Unfortunately for Hamilton's scribe, Hamilton took part in this blizzard of correspondence. Marquis Lorrie Furion was part of this new CoF, but quickly returned his region to Fontan. Hamilton argued that while Gregor's actions were wrong, Hamilton understood the reasons why Gregor felt it necessary to undertake such an action. Many of the opposition mistook this for allegiance to the Confederacy. However, debate continued for several days on this, slowly picking up vehemence on both sides while enemies declared war on Fontan.

Hamilton's Ban

Shortly before the ban, Chancellor Rogal Dorn asked Supreme Justice Katsuyori to ban him without a trial. This was a violation of Fontan's law that said every noble deserved a fair trial. As a result, Rogal Dorn and Katsuyori were both heavily protested. Soon Alexi was exiled, as he was a royal and couldn't be banned, and yet more protests appeared on the chancellor and judge. More detailed history on Alexi's actions with Krimml can be found at the Krimml Incident.
