Twix Family/Valerian

Valerian

Little is known of Valerian, the family has only recently become aware of her existence. They heard of one using the last name of Twix in Greater Aenilia, but continued correspondence with that nation has shown that the noble known as Valerian no longer lives there.

She is said to have been a freeman, an adventuring sort roaming the countryside protecting the people from the ravages of monsters and undead - in fact she was known as a he, perhaps because of the demands of the adventurer lifestyle she kept her gender masked, but no-one has heard firsthand. She earned a good reputation with Lords Luyten and Tharion, and the Lady Lucretia, and with their word ascended to knighthood.

Appearance

Valerian is a slim woman of average height in her late twenties, with long, straight, jet-black hair. She is graceful when needed, but by necessity she has learned to disguise her fighting prowess, and walks almost awkwardly when her skill is not needed.

Persona

Valerian is a botanist by hobby, and knows more about plants and their extracts than anyone she has come in contact with. She concocts various mixtures with her knowledge, for human benefit or detriment, lotions or poisons as fits her mood.

It is likely that she could easily get into shadier professions given the right motivation, but as yet her strong sense of honour toward others and rewarding relationships with honourable comrades in Greater Aenilia have kept her on the straight and narrow. She feels uncomfortable leading large legions of soldiers given her solitary and low-ranking freeman background.
