Banner Contest in Second RoundAugust 26, 2007
The Dwilight Realm Banner Contest has taken its second step as Tom has culled out a load of submissions and placed the next round into a new league. These Good Submissions are eligible for vote. Will there be a third culling? It'll depend on how many more submissions are entered, and what Tom decides. Note: Submissions are still open until Tom posts a note on the contest page that the contest is closed to further entries. -- Indirik

Dwilight NewsAugust 19, 2007
The Dwilight Realm Banner Contest is a good indication that the new island will be opening up soon. Players have been waiting for the 8th continent for quite a while now.

New Scout Report FormatAugust 13, 2007
A new scout report format is being tested on testing islands. When you scout a region, you will be provided the normal scout report, but at the top is a link to view the report in the new style. The new style provides a bit more information, and all the information is tabularized to split it into different categories. However, be aware that accessing the new format of scout reports will charge you an extra hour, and use up one more of your available scouts.

Feature MigrationAugust 13, 2007
After a long time of heavy development work, the stable branch has recently been updated with all the code changes from testing, which means that among many other updates and bugfixes, the new oath and tax system is now available game-wide. Quote from the newsticker:

Stable Updated

We have updated the stable branch with the latest code version. During the day, allegiances will be updated to the new oaths system. That means everyone on stable will lose their liege and region lords need to offer oaths. Also, bankers take care to update the tax settings. Region lords, make sure you update your local regional taxes.

New AttributesAugust 9, 2007
The short-lived Repute system is being replaced on testing islands with a new system, referred to so far as New Attributes. The four new attributes are Achievements, Repute, Chivalry, and Notoriety. These attributes should provide an interesting new way to evaluate the past actions and behaviours of characters.

Clean Up the TroublesAugust 1, 2007
Several longstanding issues that were created by earlier versions of the new allegiance system codes have finally been addressed on testing islands today, including imperial regions not tagged as such, duchies experiencing realm mergers not recognized as part of the realm, adventurers having oaths and estates, paused knights still retaining their oaths and eating up shares, and some knights having multiple oaths.
