May 15, 2006 - Assassin attempts attack on Queen Lorraine of Perdan! An unknown assassin attacked Queen Lorraine in her sleep yesterday. Thanks to her keen foresight, quick wits, and even quicker reflexes, the queen was able to grab a dagger and fight off the assailant! The intruder was scared off by the queen's guards, but eluded capture. May 15, 2006 - News from the Tournament! The tournament soon to be held in Fontan by Lycastus of Light of Fountain is rapidly gaining in popularity. At last count, 88 nobles had made the long journey to Fontan to compete for the prizes. Many of the nobles attending the festivites have taken to the fields to demonstrate their prowess with sword and lance. Some of the most notable contestants include: Sir Ambrosius of Perdan: 85% Swordfighting Sir Olorin of Perdan: 65% Swordfighting Sir Private of Fontan: 60% Swordfighting Sir Seth VI of Sirion: 55% Swordfighting Sir Thomdril of Yssaria: 55% Swordfighting Sir Lancelot of Light of Fountain: 70% Jousting Sir Stairmaster II of Caligus: 45% Jousting Sir Goliath Scorpion of Sirion: 30% Jousting (Updated May 17, 2006) May 9, 2006 - Tournament announced in Light of Fountain! Lycastus, High Pontifex of Light of Fountain, has announced a swordfighting and jousting tournament in Fontan, to occur in 9 days. The entry fee is 10 gold, with top prizes of 400 gold each for swordfighting and jousting, with a second prize of 100 gold. May 4, 2006 - Now that the Kalmar Islands has been reformed into a democracy, I thought it would be an interesting time to take a look at who is currently calling the Islands their home. It's probably no surprise to anyone who has been following the story that there are a quite a few nobles in the Islands that used to call Avamar their home. In fact, 18 of the current 42 nobles are either directly from Avamar, or have very strong family ties to Avamar. It's also interesting to note that no less than seven of these former Avamarians deserted Oligarch while their capital was under siege by their greatest enemy. Sirion. How's that for loyalty? After their precious Avamar is destroyed by Sirion, Oligarch is nice enough to give them shelter, and allow them to continue the fight against Sirion. Then when the chips are down and Oligarch is in desperate need, they turn around and desert Oligarch. So there you have it. Avamar gets destroyed. Many former Avamarians desert Oligarch on the verge of it being destroyed by the same enemy. Then they gather in the ruins of another realm they overthrew so they could form Avamar Jr. Congratulations guys. Now we can see what freedom, democracy, and the will of the people really mean to Avamar. i.e. Nothing, when it stands in the way of them getting what they want.		May 15, 2006 - Fontan has siezed control of Troyes from Perdan. May 14, 2006 - Deniz, a noble from Caligus was executed by Is Est in Hamadan, capital of Yssaria. Deniz was banned from Yssaria six weeks ago for various acts of sabotage. May 12, 2006 - Huge battle fought! The armies of Perdan and Caligus attacked the army of Yssaria in Supra. The attackers were outnumbered and defeated. (9,000 vs. 11,000) Fontan has siezed control of the city of Westmoor from Oligarch. May 11, 2006 - Huge battle fought! The army of Itorunt defends itself against the invading army of Perdan in Zawr. The attackers outnumbered the defending forces. Problems with Marshal formations resulted in confusion in the attackers ranks, and the attackers were defeated after a long and bloody battle. (10,600 vs. 9,300) May 10, 2006 - The armies of Perdan continue their push into Itorunt, attacking the Itorunt and Ibladesh forces in Zawr. The attacking Perdanese forces were victorious. (7,400 vs. 2,600) Old Rancagua has taken control of the rogue region of Poitiers. Jelle, an infiltrator working for Fontan, was caught by the Perdan guards while attempting to break into the tax offices in Bescanon. Alexandria, an Ibladeshian infiltrator, has been deported to Belauterra by Naira, Judge of Perdan. May 9, 2006 - The people of Bruck have revolted against Sirion and declared independence. Lycastus, Pontifex of Light of Fountain, has announced a Jousting and Swordfighting tournament to be held in Fontan in 9 days. The armies of Perdan strike into Itorunt, attacking Itorunt forces in Az Zarqua. The attackers are victorius. (9,400 vs. 2,300) Sotel, an infiltrator working for Yssaria, was arrested by the guards in Meuse while attempting to break into the tax offices. Perrin, an infiltrator working for Fontan, was arrested by the guards in Troyes while attempting to break into the tax offices. May 8, 2006 - Alexandria, an infiltrator working for Ibladesh, was captured by Perdanese police forces while attempting to break into the tax offices in Ar Mosul. Itorunt has taken control of the rogue region of Az Zarqua. The forces of Ibladesh and Itorunt attacked the army of Perdan in Bisciye. The attackers were vastly outnumbered, and quickly defeated. (2,000 vs. 10,000) May 7, 2006 - Huge battle fought! The forces of Caligus and Perdan attacked the Yssarian forces in Supra. The attackers overwhelmed the Yssarians and emerged victorious. (7,000 vs. 5000) Forces from Ibladesh have attacked the army of Perdan in Beziers. The attackers were met with a defending force over twice their size, and were defeated. Valgar, hero of Ibladesh, is killed during the battle. (4,000 vs. 8,800) May 5, 2006 - Huge battle fought! The forces of Yssaria continue their attack on the Perdanese and Caligan armies in Aestus. This time, the attackers are not able to muster enough troops, and are defeated. (6,000 vs. 7,000) May 4, 2006 - Huge battle fought! The armies of Yssaria have attacked the armies of Caligus and Perdan in Aestus. Although the Yssarians were outnumbered, they defeated the defenders. Eagles Reach, hero and High Marshal of Caligus, was killed during the battle. (8,000 vs. 9,000) Huge battle fought! The forces of Fontan and Sirion have attacked the forces of Perdan in Troyes. The attackers outnumbered the defenders, and were victorious. (9,000 vs. 7,000) Caligus has transferred to region of Akesh Temple to Light of Fountain. May 3, 2006 - Tzoutzoukos of Oligarch was executed by Johnny, judge of Old Rancagua. Az Zarqua has revolted against Perdan and declared independence. Naira has been elected the new judge of Perdan. Jacket, noble of Old Rancagua was tortured to death by Draxius, judge of the Kalmar Islands. The forces of Yssaria have attacked the armies Perdan and Caligus in Aestus. The attacking forces were outnumbered and defeated. (5,000 vs. 7,000) May 2, 2006 - Huge battle gought! The forces of Oligarch attacked the armies of Sirion in Oberndorf. The attackers were outnumbered and defeated. (5,000 vs. 6,000) Sirion has taken control of the rogue region of Bruck. The rebellion in the Kalmar Islands has succeeded. Gnaeus has been appointed the new ruler. The government has be reformed as a democracy. May 1, 2006 - Poitiers has revolted against Perdan and declared independence. Rebellion in the Kalmar Islands! Gnaeus has called for a rebellion against the current government. Caligus has seized control of Aestus from Yssaria.
