May 25, 2006 - The reporters at The Rampant Lion recently sent a few questions the the Lady Yunari, Countess of Beziers, of Perdan. We asked a little about her history, her opinion on the political situation on the East Island, and where she sees Perdan headed in the future. You can read the interview here. May 23, 2006 - Well, it seems that those wacky people in the Kalmar Islands are not quite as wacky as they seem. After Gnaeus stepped down yesterday, the two people running for election were Lalakis and El Cid. Yes, that's right, one of their candidates for Prime Minister was the ruthless tyrant that orchestrated the rebellion, looting, and banning of the majority of the previous government and population of the Kalmar Islands. It looks like at least some of the people there are intelligent, as Lalakis won with 54% of the vote. Looks like the Avamarians have really taken over in the islands. Any bets on how long it will be before Old Rancagua invades Avamar Jr.? May 22, 2006 - Is this the end for Oligarch? Rumor has it that Oligarch city itself is being taken over by Fontan. Rumors also abound that the Oligarchians are burning everything that will burn, to prevent it from falling into their enemies hands. Structures such as recruiting centers, scouts guilds, and the like, are being torn down by the Oligarchians as fast as possible. If these rumors are true, then Oligarch has given up, and they are surely doomed. May 21, 2006 - All hail King Gadouha! In a hastily called election, Gadouha has been chosen as the new King of Perdan! May 20, 2006 - It has been a violent day on the East Island, as war sweeps across the island from end to end. No less than three major battles have occured today. In the north, the realms of Fontan, Sirion, and Old Rancagua have combined to launch a massive assualt on the city of Oligarch, capital of Oligarch. In a long and bloody battle, the attackers were able to breach the walls and defeat the vastly outnumbered defenders. Two heros of Oligarch, Trot Jr. and Catherine, were killed in the battle. Shortly after the battle, an assassin managed to slip past the guards in Oligarch and severely wound Lysander, Prime Minister of Oligarch. The realm of Oligarch is now without a leader. In the central mountainuous region, the city of Domus, capital of Caligus, fell under assault by the Yssarian armies. The defending forces of Caligus and Perdan were barely able to hold off the attackers in a long an inconclusive battle. In a mirror of the norther battle, two more heros were killed. Kylar and Dane the Avenger lost their lives defending their capital city from the invaders. And, at the southern end of the island, the armies of Itorunt and Ibladesh attacked the army of Perdan in Zawr. When the long battle ended, the defending Perdanese forces had emerged victorious. In other momentous news, Queen Lorraine has stepped down from the rulership of Perdan, citing personal reasons. Elections will be held tomorrow to decide who will lead Perdan in these troubling times. May 18, 2006 - Sir Ambrosious of Perdan wins the tournament swordfighting competition! After seven hard-fought rounds Sir Ambrosius defeated Sir Manfred, the Royal treasurer of Itorunt, to win the first prize of 400 gold. Sir Manfred claims the second prize of 100 gold. Sir Olorin of Perdan was defeated by Sir Ambrosius in the semifinal round. In the jousting competition, Sir Lancelot of Fontan defeated Sir Sean, Count of Priotness, of Itorunt to win the 400 gold prize for jousting. May 17, 2006 - PERDAN DECLARES WAR ON ITORUNT! Queen Lorraine of Perdan has officially declared war on Itorunt! In the face of ever growing hostilities between Perdan and Itorunt, this event was inevitable. In fact, Itorunt has, in effect, been at war with Perdan for many months. In most cases, half or more of the forces attacking Perdan for the past several months have been composed of Itorunt troops, with token Ibladeshian troops to initiate a battle, which the supposedly neutral Itorunt troops would join in support of their ally, Ibladesh. This cowardly tactic allows Itorunt to claim neutrality in the conflict, while actually conducting unbridled aggression against the forces of Perdan. Queen Lorraine made a short announcement following the declaration, with these words of encouragement for the nobles of Perdan: "I hope all of you will fight well and bring glory to Perdan."		May 31, 2006 - Huge battle fought in Supra! The aries of Caligus attacked the evenly matched forces of Yssaria in Supra. The attackers were victorious. (4,000 vs. 4,000) May 29, 2006 - Yssaria has seized control of Supra from Caligus. Doc Primus, Minister of Sirion, has announced a tournament to take place in Sirion in 9 days. The tournament has a top prize of 800 gold for both swordfighting and jousting, with a second prize of 200 gold. May 28, 2006 - Huge battle fought in Supra! The Yssarian army has attacked the forces of Caligus and Ubent. The attackers outnumbered the defenders and were victorious. Doombringer, High Marshal of Caligus, and Medium, Treasurer of Caligus, were captured by the Yssarians. Fontan has taken control of Commonyr from Oligarch. Oligarch has no more regions under it's control, and has been destroyed. Zawr has declared independence from Perdan. WAYLANDER has been appointed the new High Marshal of Perdan. May 27, 2006 - Huge battle fought in Clermont! The army of Perdan has attacked the ivading forces of Ibladesh and Itorunt. The Perdanese outnumbered the defenders, and overwhelmed them. The defending forces took heavy casualties, with very little losses by the attackers. Sir Dread, Marshal of the Army of Al Arab was captured by Perdan. (8,000 vs. 6,000) Caligus has taken control of Supra from Yssaria. Fontan has elected Gregor as their new Chancellor. May 26, 2006 - Sirion has taken control of Oligarch, capital of Oligarch. Oligarch has elected Hireshmont as their new leader. He received 4 of the 6 valid votes that were cast. Blackknight has stepped down from his position as High Marshal of Perdan. WAYLANDER had been appointed as the new High Marshal of Perdan. May 25, 2006 - Huge battle fought in Abadan! The army of Yssaria attacked the forces of Ubent and Caligus. The attackers were victorious. (6,000 vs. 6,000) A small force of Ibladeshians and Itorunts attacked the forces of Perdan in Clermont. The attackers were severely outnumbered and quickly defeated. Siku, Pladin Primus of Ibladesh was seriously wounded in the battle. (2,200 v.s 4,800) May 24, 2006 - Huge battle fought in Abadan! The armies of Yssaria and Ibladesh have attacked the armies of Ubent and Caligus. The attackers were outnumbered and defeated. (6,000 vs. 8,000) May 24, 2006 - The peasants in Dayr have revolted against Ibladesh and declared themselves rogue. New ruler in Old Rancagua! Dekion has been elected as the new ruler. May 23, 2006 - Huge battle fought in Supra! The forces of Caligus and Perdan have attacked the forces of Yssaria in Supra. The attackers had twice as many troops as the defenders, and were victorius. (8,000 vs. 4,000) Lalakis is elected as the new Prime Minister of the Kalmar Islands. May 22, 2006 - Small forces from Ibladesh and Itorunt continue to attack the army of Perdan in Zawr. The attackers were vastly outnumbered and quickly defeated. (1,500 vs. 7,500) Perdan Has siezed control of Zawr from Itorunt. Az Zarqua has revolted against Itorunt and declared independence. Gnaeus has stepped down as ruler of the Kalmar Islands. The Kalmar Islands is without a ruler. May 21, 2006 - Gadouha has been elected as the new King of Perdan. Lysander has been re-elected as the Prime Minister of Oligarch. The fighting continues in Domus. The Yssarian army was thrown back from the walls of Domus in a fierce battle. The vastly outnumbered Perdanese and Caligan defenders threw off the attacking army, capturing two Yssarian nobles in the process, including Prandur, former ruler of Yssaria. (10,000 vs. 5,000) The fighting also continues yet again in Zawr. For the third straight time, the army of Perdan has defeated the forces of Ibladesh and Itorunt. Sir Targe, Paladin Primus of Ibladesh, was captured by the forces of Perdan. (6,400 vs. 8,500) Jelle, an infiltrator working for Fontan was captured by the guards in Mulhouse after attacking Sir Arslan of Perdan. Ubent declares war on Yssaria! May 20, 2006 - Attack on Oligarch! The massed armies of Fontan, Old Rancagua, and Sirion have launched a massive attack on the city of Oligarch, capital of Oligarch. The invaders managed to storm the walls and were victorious. Trot Jr. and Catherine, heros of Oligarch, were killed during the battle. Three other nobles of Oligarch were captured. Three nobles of Sirion and two nobles of Old Rancagua were also captured. (48,000 vs. 21,000) Attack on Domus! The Yssarian army has attacked Domus, capital of Caligus. The defending forces of Caligus and Perdan held the attackers at bay in a long and inconclusive battle. Kylar and Dane the Avenger, heros of Caligus, were killed in the battle. (16,000 vs. 10,000) Huge battle fought in Zawr! The armies of Itorunt and Ibladesh attack the army of Perdan in Zawr. The attackers were not able to muster a sufficient force, and were defeated. (14,9000 vs. 16,000) Old Rancagua takes control of the rogue region of Bruck. Queen Lorraine steps down from rulership in Perdan. Perdan is without a ruler. Lysander, Prime Minister of Oligarch is severely wounded by an assassin. Oligarch is without a ruler. May 18, 2006 - Battle in Nimraw. The armies of Perdan have attacked some small, scattered forces of Ibladesh in Nimraw. The Ibladesh forces were quickly defeated. (3,000 vs. 1,000) The people of Akesh Temple have revolted against Light of Fountain and rejoined the realm of Caligus! The tournament in Light of Fountain has been held. Sir Ambrosius takes first place in swordfighting, winning the 400 gold piece prize. Sir Lancelot takes first place in jousting, winning the 400 gold piece prize. Atos, in infiltrator working for Fontan, has been arrested by the guards in Aix while trying to break into the tax offices. May 17, 2006 - Perdan declares war on Itorunt! The armies of Perdan attack the forces of Itorunt in Zawr. The attackers vastly outnumber the surprised defenders, and swiftly achieve victory! (13,000 vs. 1,300) May 16, 2006 - Huge battle fought! The forces of Perdan and Caligus attacked the forces of Yssaria in Supra. The attackers were vastly outnumbered and defeated. (6,000 vs. 12,000) Forces from Perdan have attacked the forces of Itorunt in Az Zarqua. The attackers were victorious. (2,800 vs. 1,600)
