We're baaaaack!

March 5, 2006- That's right! We're back in Fontanese lands again! We decided to take a nice jaunt round abouts Fontanese lands, maybe extract our rightful share of their taxes, burn some food, maybe contribute to the rapid repopulation efforts, you know, looting. And, gosh, such a huge open area to do it... weak Fontanese forces all across the board, except Krimml... gosh... we could just wander to and fro, stripping bare the land... sounds fun to me!

In Gadlock

March 4, 2006- A medium-sized detachment of our troops just won a refreshing victory in Gadlock today, a small one, but a victory all the same. Maybe we'll loot in OR, not Fontan! :D I'd be fine with that particular proposition!

Marriage

March 3, 2006- There is a marriage going on in Oligarch. Ares and Eos,the date has been set to Sunday March 5th. -by Ares

Cohesion

March 3, 2006- Looks like we're getting back on the level we were in January! Most of our forces are moving on time, to the right places! Good work, TLs! We're back on track!

Regrouping

March 3, 2006- Some of our stragglers got caught by 8k of Fontanese forces in Greatbridge as we rally in Oli City, but not that many. But the big news is, of course, the 21k attack on Ashforth by mostly Sirionite and some OR forces. OR cant field much of an army though. We're gathering and regrouping in Oli City... I really do hope we go on a looting raid...

Attack on Ashforth

March 2, 2006- Well, this campaign seems to be a replay of the first campaign after OR entered the war, just with us losing. 30k or so of Sirionite and OR forces are assaulting the militia and few available troops in Ashforth, while our forces in Dulbin were pummeled. Well, its an unfortunate turn of events, but we'll manage. Besides, we're doing what we need to! Letting Perdan crush the southern sissies without too many problems! Go Perdan/Ubent! Kick'em around a little!

Debate and Reconciliation

March 2, 2006- We are marching home from Greatbridge. Blame for this defeat, and the last week or two of crappy success, has been tossed everywhere. Lack or orders, late orders, confusing orders, people not obeying orders, lack of coordination, etc. Everyone has caught some flack, pretty much. But, after many TLs began to get angry, we have come out stronger than before. Through the fire of anger, temper, and futile shouting matches, we have come out more bonded than before. So, Fontan, ready to get pillaged again? :D

Disaster Day

March 2, 2006- I am rather disgusted. Our TLs seem to have lost the ability to read. Due to OOC stuff, our general has been out of action, and various council members have been taking command, etc. Orders have been scattered. But this time they were early and on-time. Mere minutes later, a small change was made. We seem to have had about 1/3 of our TLs not follow orders. This is an alarming trend that is getting worse, it seems. Plus, we just lost Morshes. The entire Duchy of Westmoor is falling apart. Oh well, we'll smash'em around next time! At least our allies are having smashing success! Ibladesh seems to be falling apart! Lost two regions that they sceded to Itorunt, battle in Ibladesh city, starving... things are looking up for Perdan and Ubent! If Yssaria tries to help Itorunt/Ibladesh, I bet Caligus could have a bit of fun! Maybe we'll see Perdanese banners around here soon....

Generalship

March 1, 2006- Due to his recent inactivity, there is talk ot Arnaud being replaced. The two main candidates for general seem to be Lord Paul, the current Banker and de facto general for the past few days(go Paul! woohoo!), and Thrump, one of Arnaud's lieutenants. Personally, I'm placing my bets on Paul, and I hope Paul gets it.

OCPU

The franchise I mentioned is now official, with three signing newspapers! Caligus Courier, Perdan Pride, and, naturally, your beloved Oligarchian Observer! OCPU

Election Day

March 1, 2006- Well, elections were today. Lysander won, not surprising, and Donna Ragna won, not surprising. Donna Ragna got a few of the older Oligarchians(well, pre-fall of Avamar), and the whole Avamarian voting block. Lysander got much of the Oligarchian voting block and some Avamarian, Lalakis, saying he was running just for there to be a second candidate, almost won. Interesting, eh? He got most of the Avamarian voting block. I'm tellin' ya, refugees have voting power. A lot of it.

Franchise

A deal is in the works for the Caligan Courier and the Oligarchian Observer to become a grand Southern Alliance newspaper franchise! Perhaps the Perdan pride could be included too! Now Ubent needs a paper! We could found the Association of SA Journalists! Or, in the term I like better than SA(which is poretty much obsolete) is HRA- Heartland Realms ALliance. Look at a map and you'll understand. :D So, we need just a few signatures here and there and... the Association of HRA Journalists will be well on its way!

Attack on Sirion City is a success!

Earlier today, 52,000 squirrels assaulted Sirion City! Word says that within the next three years, they will begin actively engaging Sirionite forces! HAIL TO THE SQUIRRELS!!!

New World Order Take Two

february 28, 2006- Roth is at it again. He sent out a rather, well, lengthy message that he has called the Charter of the New World Order. You can read it here. Its a bunch of crap if you ask me. Sounds like just another way to excuse oppression and bigotry.

Out of Contact

February 27, 2006- Well, I'm out of the loop. That's what happens when you try and earn money for your realm! See, I have this 150 gold bounty on my head, right? So, I decided, hey! That's 150 gold we can use for Oligarch! I dueled a guy, and only got LIGHTLY wounded. Gosh, you'd think he'd at least get the job done. Anyways, I think I'll let the bounty sit. I like being known as the most wanted man in Oligarch. :D

Care Package For Prince Elros

February 26, 2006- In a gesture of goodwill, the nobles of Oligarch have purchased and gathered the necessary pieces for a care package. The message I sent to Fuinur along with the package reads: "Greetings, King Fuinur.

The nobles of Oligarch have put together a care package for Elros(it is Elros, right?). It includes:

• Five cakes. Babies like cakes.
• Three pairs of children's clothing(one in Oligarchian colors, one in Old Rancaguan, one in Sirionite.)
• A middle name: Ragur
• 50 diapers
• Two school books, for when he gets older (I wrote the grammar one, the other one we bought at some store or other)
• One box of miscellaneous toys

Be thankful I didn't include the pleasure whip the Avamarians wanted to send. ;)

Anyways, I hope Prince Elros enjoys the toys, and makes good use of the other things.

The package should be arriving in Oroya anytime."

"New World Order"

February 25, 2006- One of the fresh-out-of-the-box TLs here in Oligarch is calling for a New World Order. Amusing, really. He says that we should institute global legislation, that we can just tell everyone to obey us. He calls Oligarch "shameful". Makes me laugh really. People like that... I just want to poke them in the belly, just cuz I think it'd be funny. ;) (OOC- the creepy part is that he doesn't have a user ID)

Commonyr Returned

February 25, 2006- After the Sirionites turned tail and fled home, we walked in unchallenged and retook Commonyr. The land is a sad sight indeed. The Sirionites have butchered the people. They seek to eradicate the very population of East Continent. If it means slaughtering 2000+ citizens (like has been done in Commonyr), they're perfectly happy to do it! That's elven justice and peace for ya! When there are no people, there can be no unrest, right?

Home Again

February 25, 2006- Well, all of our raiding forces are either back in Oli City loaded down with cash, or in Fontanese prisons, being cruelly abused and beaten. Messages have been snuck out of the prison, telling of the abomination known as Lycastus, and his foolish threats to our TLs. He does not understand that Oligarchian nobility are strong. Only in rending them almost into pieces will they talk. Most will never pay the ransom, they will force him to beat the cash out of themselves. That is Oligarch: strong and proud.

Volume 5, Comin' Atcha!

February 24, 2006- Atcha. What a strange word, or non-word I suppose. But, anyways, yes, here we are! Loyally and faithfully providing our admittedly warped but always more interesting and up-to-date than any other newspaper on the continent! Heck, we announced the birth of Fuinur's son before he did! OR, at least, within minutes of it. Actually, there was a bit of a controversy over that whole affair, but its over and done now. Anyways, welcome to.... volume 5!
