Well since I've been gone meting with family for the past week or so much has happened that all readers ought to already know. Old Rancagua has formally declared war on us, mainly caused by their deep rooted hatreds. The Kalmarian defenders in Stora have ben fighting back with some success, waves of Old Rancagua defenders. AND for once something somewhat accurate can be read in the Old Rancagua Press. It has a fair account of the rebellion that has just failed in their realm. Anyone interested in the recent rebellion ought to look there, but disregard the last paragraph which implies that Kalmar had a hand in the revolt. The Kalmar Islands had nothing to do with this and nobles here were very surprised when they heard of the rebellion. Some were even glad it failed.

Cavalry... finally

After 3 attempts to import horses into Stora, Kalmarian Baron Thanfedal has finally succeded. Beutifally armored horsed and well-equipped riders are now readily available in Stora.
Called "Olath D'aron's of Kalmar", these horsemen will surely aid in defending against any invasion.
Old Rancagua... again

Again this newspaper has to comment on Old Rancagua. For it seems they've a vendetta to completely destroy Kalmar. Again we need to rebuke the Old Rancagua Press because they seem incapable of getting facts straigt and telling the true story of what is happening between the islands and the mainland.
This invasion which will no doubt come is not to restore the monarchy of Kalmar. Prometheus is back in power. IT isnt to return control to the "true" Kalmarians since only 3 have actually decided to make war upon their country and go against the will of their King. this war is not to eliminate a threat because, Kalmar has continually impressed the concept of peace upon Old Ranc, and we continue to be a great deal weaker military than them. The true cause of this war and the Old Rancagua aggression is quite clear in the OR Press' last article.
Old Rancagua is a realm of hunters. Unlike Sirion, a realm which waged war against the old nation Avamar and ended there, Old Ranc will not stop with the death of the Avamarian nation, but instead continue to attempt to eliminate Avamar and all former Avamarians from the Continent. Any nation or people that gets in the way of that will be OR's enemy. Old Rancagua is a realm of tigers chasing after its prey and trampling creatures in between them and their prey.
They say they cannot ignore the House of Avamar guild. Frankly, thre is no reason not to ignore them. The house of Avamar has done no harm and because of that, deserves no contempt.
OR admits former Avamarians have done a great deal to help Kalmar, but chides their motives. To that, I would have to say that regardless of their motives the former avamarians have been helping Kalmar. OR has been hurting it and indeed plans to destroy it and turn the Kalmarian independent state into dust.
In short, motives do not matter here. the former Avamarians are performing good deeds and Old Rancagua does the opposite.
Next, Kalmar's message groups. Despite what the OR PRess says there are no all avamar message groups. There is the Assembly, a body which is supposed to make all the decisions.(Though in reality most are made by the entire realm, nto just the assembly). And the 4 groups: Ghosts, Riders, Blades, and Hawks whose purpose is only for a realm-wide competition that must be suspending due to OR and their coming invasion.
Finally, The most laughable piece of the OR Press last article is its comments on the new Kalmarian banner. They say it is going to look more Avamarian. Im sure anyne reading that comment cannot help but chuckle.
Lets take a look...

Summarily, the Old Rancaguan aggresson is only because Kalmar Islands harbors former Avamarians. These avamarians have helped Kalmar grow and proser and for that reason deserve respect and a right to remain here. Old Rancagua cares nothng about this, and is fueled by a fiery hatred toward any and all Avamarians.
This war will go on until A) Either Kalmar Islands or Old Rancagua is destroyed. B) All the Avamarians decide to commit suicide and or leave for another realm(Which OR will surely declare war on as a result) or C) Old Rancagua purges itself of its racist ideologies.
