... If you really want to read the book, it's called "A Distant Mirror" and it's a fantastic insight into medieval society. Not just warfare, but many aspects of life. Be amazed. I named my first BM character (de Coucy) after the real-life French noble who is at the heart of this book. matt andrews October 25, 2005 02:40 (CEST) (de Coucy/Matthias/Rodon/Kali)

Also if you would like to actually play a graphic game about medeival war, play "Medieval Total War", Its a really good insight onto how battle worked and the different types of battles and units that you can get. ScottSabin October 25, 2005, 11:16 (GMT)

This is turning into a discussion page, so someone should clean it up... anyways, a much better game about the middle ages is "Crusader Kings". Try it, it's incredible. --Tom 26 October 2005 14:56 (CEST)

I agree that 'Crusader Kings' is much better. In regards to needing to ask for more troops from your vassals, and them maybe not doing so. Or them declaring war and taking there own troops into the war, leaving you with no control over them.
