Skill(s) Fame

Is it possible that skill fame could be for the first three characters that that get a skill to 50%? I received a mystery fame the other day, and it was a day or two after I think I got a skill fame point for Buro. It is possible that I had another character hit 50% buro a day or two later. This is the only mystery fame point I have, and I can think of nothing else that my characters did during that time. --Indirik 19:15, 31 January 2007 (CET)

I sure hope so. I now have 5 unknown fame points, but all three of my characters each have two skills they have or have had above 50%. If what you say is true, then I only have 3 unknown points left =). Van Peteghem 21:11, 31 January 2007 (CET)
I'd hope it's not really that complex, because this will make confirmation nearly impossible. But we all know the man... -- Gsklee 22:24, 31 January 2007 (CET)

Mentor Fame

I've got a guess at another fame point, and I'm pretty certain of it... From yesterday onto today I gained a fame point. I did nothing during that time (fame was added while I was offline), so it's not action-related. The only thing that really happened, was that I crossed the 50 mentor points mark with my mentor (student left). My adventurer is in prison, I don't think that gets fame. My ruler already got her fame for being ruler (10days) two days ago and nothing happened to her while I was offline. My judge has done nothing either, nothing happened either. The only one with an event in his messages was my mentor. No one gained prestige either or honour. Nor skill.

So unless something happened that goes totally behond my comprehension, I think I got a fame point for having 50 points with my mentor. Foreign Curs 16:43, 16 April 2007 (CEST)

Quite likely that indeed gives a fame point. I have 5 unknown fame points (=s) and one of my characters has in total gained 214 mentor points. So most likely there is a fame point for 50 mentor points, and maybe another one for 100 or 200 mentor points, or both? Mentors, confirm or protest! Van Peteghem 20:36, 16 April 2007 (CEST)
I also received a fame point after getting 50 mentor points - but i think it could also be to do with being rated as "excellent" 5 times? I wrote this on the Lemon Fame 2 Wikipage under "Crazylozda's Guesses" If this is one, then i only have 1 more to find! --Crazylozda 21:33, 16 April 2007 (CEST)
I was not graded as excellent by this student, so that's not it. I really think 50 points. Foreign Curs 22:13, 16 April 2007 (CEST)
50 mentor points could be it, I just know when I got my mentor fame point I had an insane amount of students and thought that was the trigger.--Aralaiquendi 02:44, 17 April 2007 (CEST)
I don't know if I was allowed to put it on the actual page, but at least someone will notice it and put it where it does belong. Foreign Curs 21:53, 18 April 2007 (CEST)
Seems like a promising hit I'd say. If we are able to tell whether 100 and 200 will yield Fame as well in the future - and I hope for positive confirmation! - then we can certainly say there are Fame in this. -- Gsklee 11:08, 21 April 2007 (CEST)
Like I said before, my char has 214 MP's, and my family has 5 unknown fame points. 1 FP for every 50 MP would leave me with only 1 unknown point left. Van Peteghem 11:18, 21 April 2007 (CEST)
I am hoping that someone can go up from 0, 50, 100, 200... and actually observes Fame jumps at each of the predicted threshold. -- Gsklee 12:15, 21 April 2007 (CEST)
I'll try :D It does seem odd though that this makes fame infinite. If I have 1000 mentor points I could have 20 fame for just that. Doesn't that just sound like easy to get fame? I now think that the fame is only for numbers like 50, then 100, then 200, then 400 and so on. That way you can't get the fame that easy. Another thing, Van Peteghem, can you check your characters for extraordinary skills? I think you can scratch some unknown points for those. Maybe 2 out of your 5 unknown points are also from such a skill (bureaucracy, leadership, ...). By doing so you can find out how much you might have gotten from being mentor, right? Foreign Curs 17:45, 21 April 2007 (CEST)
One of my chars has passed 50% on bureaucracy and preaching, one on infiltration and swordfighting, and one on leadership and swordfighting. That's six exceptional skills, five different ones. It cannot be a fame point for every time a char raises one of his skills to over 50%, nor for every kind of skill that is raised by one of the family members to over 50%. What is possible, is that every character can get one fame point for raising a skill over 50%, and then no more if he raises a second or a third. That would give me 3 FP's for skills, and then probably 2 for MP's, so one at 50 and one higher (100, 150 or 200)... Though I'm not sure about it. Van Peteghem 18:49, 21 April 2007 (CEST)
Another mentor (Rangonio; Perdan) told me this: "I do have 3 random fame points. One may be due to "exceptional swordskill" So, maybe the other 2 came from 50 and 100 mentor points. Which only agrees to our deduction, but not comfirm it. Foreign Curs 16:14, 23 April 2007 (CEST)
I just crossed 100 mentor points this evening. We'll see if the next turn's update raises my fame for it. Foreign Curs 21:01, 26 January 2009 (CET)
Got nothing... Foreign Curs 09:47, 27 January 2009 (CET)

Family Honour

268 Honour (2006.11.22)

  • This comes from the 'busted' files. I don't know if busted means that they've been proven and accepted as Fame points or if they are just plainly not true. I hope the latter one, because I haven't gotten this Fame point at all. Foreign Curs 21:51, 18 April 2007 (CEST)
Busted = Ain't true. -- Gsklee 11:08, 21 April 2007 (CEST)

Unique Item Fame

I just gained a 15th fame point lately, for no obvious reason, and I just realised it was the first time I had a character spotted wearing a unique item in battle, it's likely related. -Chénier 22:39, 27 September 2007 (CEST)

I also recently acquired a +5 Prestige item from an adventurer that was originally owned by one of the Necromancer's Servants. Within two days I had gained a mystery Fame point. I cannot attribute it to anything in particular. I don't know exactly when I gained the fame, so it is possible that I got it closer to the time I gained the item. I have done nothing that is accountable to any known fame point. --Indirik 03:37, 28 September 2007 (CEST)
I gained a mystery fame point also the other day - although none of my characters have bought a unique item recently. One has had one, but gave it to an adventurer to repair and i think they lost it. My adventurer has had quite a number of uniques, so perhaps it could be to do with the sale of one-five or something?--Crazylozda 08:31, 28 September 2007 (CEST)
Indirik, did you wear the item in battle? -Chénier 05:20, 24 October 2007 (CEST)
I had not yet worn it in battle when I had gained my mystery fame point.--Indirik 12:36, 24 October 2007 (CEST)
I obtained a unique item a week ago, wore it in battle 4 times, but no fame point has been added. -Andrasta 13:11, 24 October 2007 (CEST)

Trader Fame

I think that I just got a fame point for selling food to a starving region. It also occurred without profit to me as surmised by Gloria/GSK. I bought 300 bushels for 25 gold a piece and sold the lot on for, well, substantially less. Not more than 25 gold in total I'm sure. --Revan 07:52, 11 April 2008 (CEST)
