We've got the main article templates, what about other types of articles? We could have a Monthly Ruler Election Compilation, and something for rebellions, diplomacy changes, creation of new realms, and anything relating to the continent as well. -Chénier 04:38, 18 October 2007 (CEST)

Ruler elections can become overwhelming though if we don't have a compilation one for the month changes. We'll also need a generic one for messages from Tom, RP hints, rebellions and creation of new realms. If possible, it's better to have one very generic template with lots of variables than many specific ones, as having too many will make it very hard for new people to understand how to work the newspaper. -Chénier 05:02, 23 October 2007 (CEST)
I wasn't thinking of using a single box for every regular election cycle. More like only when a new ruler is elected. If the ruler is reconfirmed, then it's not really big news. Do you think we should list all the reconfirms as well?
As far as the templates go, I think that's a good idea. I'm not quite sure how to do that yet. I wasn't able to find any good icons to put in small announcement boxes. I also like the idea of using the realm(s) shield for announcements, too. --Indirik 20:28, 23 October 2007 (CEST)
I was thinking some sort of table. 3 columns: Realm, Ruler, New/Re-Confirmed. It's all available IG to everyone, but it's not published in a particularly easy to read/archive way. -Chénier 22:28, 23 October 2007 (CEST)
That would work. --Indirik 04:10, 24 October 2007 (CEST)

Do you mind if I link to this page for The Moot's writing guide? This page pretty much says it all, and it seems like it'd be redundant to make another, virtually identical, page. Vellos 20:01, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Not at all. Go right ahead. --Indirik (talk), Editor (talk) 20:26, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
