Another update, and not quite my best work if I may say so. Before anyone asks: I couldn't help it. My personality requires that I write at least one not entirely serious section in the article. Dating
I'm not sure about the medieval period being loosely 1200 to 1600; Wikipedia suggests anything from 400 to around 900 for the beginning. (Of course the 'period' and its conditions began and ended at different times in different places, further confusing matters). Have left this unchanged for now but would welcome other views on this.--Egregious 15:26, 1 August 2007 (CEST)

- Yes, I do think that is closer to the true span of the Middle Ages. However, BM does use several ideas from the Renaissance and later in history: Bureaucrats, middle class merchants and government officials, Democracies and Republics, crossbows, and other similar ideas or items. Because of that, I thought a later time frame would be more accurate. Maybe a wider time frame would be correct. It lets players know about the wide range of acceptable roleplay ideas without over-complicating it with explanations. Fredrich 19:05, 1 August 2007 (CEST)
