Talk:Abington/Abington Account

Seriously i cannot fathom how you could claim biased by anyone considering you are one of the worst offenders. Now you asked for an explanation so i shall give you one. Redspan is a byproxy of abby, most people would agree with that statement. given this, calls have been made for a halt to the hostilities we are unfortunatly engaged in. since we have no reason to halt, that is asking for aid. yes it is a nice cozy way of getting there but, that is what we are supposed to do isnt it? retorical question since i am a frequent reader of the Abington Account. ooc: never think me at odds with anyone here out of game, i just try to have fun.Zerric Zorrath 31 july 2007

I don't agree that Redspan is a "byproxy" of Abington. And simply because a lot of people might agree, doesn't make it true. Truth is not a Democracy. Asking for a cease-fire or peace is not asking for "aid," it is asking for a cease-fire or peace. And certainly you have a reason to halt - to end the blood, death and destruction you are causing, not just to your enemies but yourselves. What you really lack is a just, and honourable, reason for continuing.House Olik 08:18, 1 August 2007 (CEST)

Sorry.. Couldn't leave "Lord" beside Callisto... She's not very happy when people mistake her gender (gee, thanks, God Tom, not helpin' there, dude :) )

LOL yeah she will come after you with her ax :)

Ermm Antonine... as far as I can see your character is an ASI noble, and it doesn't make sense for you to be editing the Abington Account any more than it would be fair for me to rewrite the Ash Sea Chronicles. There is a reason for separate newspapers; you want to report the looting fine, do it in your own newspaper and not in others. Especially when you write in stuff about "our" troops when you're not an Abington character, let alone anyone in the Ministry of the People. Olik 11 January 2006 23:50 (CET)

Malice: "Oh Callisto. You are the funny one! Accusing the Chronicle of imposture and bias? When you make it sound like the people of Ash'rily went over to you so willingly in this newspaper? As I recall, you directed Redspan and Carelia to Rape, Loot, Burn and Piss all over the people of Ash'rily. Conveniently forgot to mention this? And you wonder why we see you as the evil dogs that you are for the crude butchery of our people in Ash'rily?! But I guess it doesnt sound quite as romantic as 'Ash'rily sees the light' does it?"

Malice: Hah! Abington cries rape and murder...after aiding her allies in half razing Ash'rily to the ground way back, after gladly hearing of Talerium plundering and burning in ASI's western lands all that time ago so you could have an easier time in your 'opportunistic conquest' of the islands. And more recently you had the Duke of Wor'ight burn down every piece of infastructure in his city. So I don't see why youre moaning. You just reap what you sow. Abington deserves all she gets.

There is a small difference - I'm sure it's lost upon the likes of you - Abington is acting in accordance with laws and agreements. ASI was not then, and is not now; certainly Minas Ithil is not. Furthermore, are you honestly suggesting that two wrongs make a right?
Though I do find it amusing you are trying to paint the Duke of Wor'ights actions as some kind of war-crime! Because it shows that you are disappointed that your conquest will not yield as much benefit to your realm as you had expected. Perhaps - if you think hard on it - you'll discover that that was the point. Olik 17:43, 25 July 2006 (CEST)

As a Cagilan and Taran player I cannot sympathise with Abington but I must say, If you yell loud enough you would be surprised how many knuckleheads will follow your orders is a pretty hilarious explanation of that rather remarkable colony battle . . . whoever came up with that deserves a coconut.--Egregious 10:54, 25 July 2006 (CEST)

OOC - Yeah it made me laugh. :D Olik

OOC: Yeah, made me laugh last night. bleh, I should write up an article in response --Bishamon Family 23:01, 25 July 2006 (CEST)

Malice? Reality check.

Callisto: Um, Malice, dear? First, I didn't write anything with the Abington Account thingie here.. I read it just like you apparently did. Second, I've never been a ruler, nor a general, and was Marshal only briefly when I didn't have anybody else to assign the job to.

So this invalidates:

"As I recall, you directed Redspan and Carelia to Rape, Loot, Burn" as I've never been in a ruler position, and wouldn't have commanded anything about that... so, as always with you ASI folk, I wonder who's spinning such tales that you fakely use as fact..

"When you make it sound like the people of Ash'rily went over to you so willingly in this newspaper?" as I don't write things here, I read them.. so want to accuse someone of something, try the Author of this newspaper.

"Conveniently forgot to mention this?" should read "I, Malice, did absolutely no research before I made comments which make me seem like I have even a shallow clue what I'm talking about, and I hope people believe me so I have credibility, when I actually have no clue what I'm spouting, it just sounds good, so hopefully people fall for it"

"But I guess it doesnt sound quite as romantic as 'Ash'rily sees the light' does it?".. This one I have no clue what you're talking about.. so care to explain? I'd love to know when I, in a public form, declared anybody saw any light whatsoever.

Also, I know I'm reacting to comments which were likely made before you were made King of ASI, which means it was a time when the war probably hadn't even started (I'm guessing). Regardless, as you can see, I only rarely check this newspaper out, so you may wish to find more "current and practical" methods of passing messages and criticisms at me....... also, research what you are babbling about, so it's at least vaguely rooted in fact.. makes it easier for me to have Clue One what the Hell you're trying to discuss.
