Surcliffe Family/Helen Alys Surcliffe

Helen Surcliffe is the twin sister of Elise, although they share only two things in common. Their birth date and their family. Perhaps it is prudent to say that Helen is the sun whereas Elise is the moon. Vivacious and overbearing, Helen is somewhat of a strong personality. Prone to long-winded loquaciousness coupled with rather blunt declarations she makes rather rapid first impressions.

Heen

Helen joined a few realms before settling down in Heen, but none of them seemed to hold her interest until she heard rumor of the desert realm. It was an instant adoration, for while the heat was oppressive and the camels tended to bite more so than not Helen had finally found people who could keep up with her and who's presence she actually enjoyed. She quickly found a liege, Duke Marzo of Tahgalez, and even swifter found other newcomers to chum around with. Which may or may not be why the title Helen the Great cropped up, and the ritual of drinking contests between Sir McChester and Helen began along with the conception of offices placed in pantries and a refinement of the filtering system in a self contained human powered aquatic environment among other tales.

Desert Defense Squad

With much kicking of the heels, Helen was asked to Marshal over the Desert Defense Squad, the army tasked with fighting monsters and undead within the borders of Heen. With no prior experience, she took to the task in her general fashion and after much advice from the members of her most magnificent army created the Heenite Sectors as a division of their manpower. Other than that particular achievement, Helen promotes free speech and camaraderie amongst the Desert Defense Squad and is immensely proud of each and every member therein, often relying on their superior experience and knowledge.
