an elderly scribe with a dry hacking cough walks into the study, his old body draining more and more with every step. He squints sharply, inspecting the rustic room rifled with dusty tomes. Sconces and candelabras dot the hall way, giving off their yellow light to aid the old man's descent into the deeper chambers of the Sedirae Family vault. At the end of the hall, he opens the door into a large antechamber. The walls change from a solemn oak to a grave stone, marbled with cracks and salvaged statues with burn marks. The statues look down on the scribe, rife with looter's slashes, their battle wounds like those of a grizzled veteran company eyeing new recruits. Moving into the larger hall, the Scribe stops at a large stone table and sits on the padded throne placed in front of it. His old bones relax as he eases into the chair and lets out and brief sigh, the arthritis in his lower body easing the tension on his joints. His head cocks back and his eyes shut for a brief moment. His snoring fills the hall as he drifts off. Moments pass before a loud slam from the upstairs startles the scribe, waking him violently as he grunts and chokes on his mouth. He grumbles to himself and reaches for the quill, ink pot, and large tome on the table. He opens the book, its spine creaking much like the scribe's own. The scribe begins to write.....

History of the Sedirae Family

Founding & Homeland

The Sedirae family was founded by Luc Sedirae from the far off land, Thislan. A continent surrounded by water, the island was rife with war and suffered not a single weak individual. Every Thislanian man was trained from an early age, not to fight, but to survive. They're seldom the same thing it seems. Fighting is for a purposes or at least a means to an end, surviving is to live. This is the type of life-style that people are accustomed to on Thislan. With raiders, brigands, or even your own lord to fear, Thislanians are a rather self-sufficient bunch, with a bleak out look on life and a rather cynical, callous approach to matters.
