Ruiri Woods

A rather strange name for a family but one that holds significance none the less. Ruri Woods was the greatest Knight to come from this family and since his death many many years ago the Woods' have fully incorporated it into their family name to remind them of their once famous heritage.

When Cara and Don's great-grandfather took control over the family name and the family estate, the name fell from the lips of nobles and it became one of the once-great but now forgotten noble families. It was as if the lineage had died out such was the disregard that the family was held from then on. Now the children of the family are out on a path to re-establish their place amongst the Knights of Atamara. The family estate in Tarkhog was now flourishing again and the new wealth forthcoming from the hard efforts of their father to establish a safe, respectable family had allowed (unwittingly to the father) Don and Cara to pursue their dreams.

Cara

The eldest daughter, has always bossed about her siblings. From a young age Cara knew what she wanted to be, a Knight, a profession her father didn't quite agree with and nearly succesfully forbade. The night before she left her home her mum came to her room with whatever gold she could gather and bade her to make haste to catch up with her brother and to follow her dreams. Imeadiatley Cara sprung up and left, surprisingly quickly as she had planned to run away if she was "made" too. Although getting off to a rather slow start Cara is now a member of the 'Blades of Carelia' a great acheivement for her, after hearing all the folklore about this speclialist army. Being a noble under Bartho Baraedor is something that she thought would never be possible.

Don

The eldest son, and slightly reluctant to fulfill his fathers dreams of him becoming a Knight and going into battle to honour his family name. His father having a serious illness was unable to follow his families tradition and so raised his son to fill it for him. Don though had other ideas, he would rather hide behind his sister if trouble came, and always said out of family conflicts. Don would rather keep his head low and stay out of it, prefering to read in the library than march bravely to the front line.
