More Victories for Plergoth (and other news)

March 15, 1007 | By: Elroy

This past week has seen much success by Plergoth. Zuhle was reclaimed from Khthon and withstood another TO by Khthon, which also saw their TO of Xinjin broken when defeated in a bloody battle. A second battle in Xinjin also saw Khthon soundly defeated, losing a total of about 450 more troops than the army of Plergoth during those 2 battles. A small battle group pursued the fleeing Khthon army into Weghie, where even more casualties were sustained by our battered enemy.

A force from Vlaanderen then moved to Weghie to rescue their weakened ally, and defeated the few remaining TL's from Plergoth in the region. There was a small victory for Plergoth in that battle, however, as Valhala, General of Vlaanderen was unceremoniously wounded once again.

In other news, rumor has it that due to the setbacks suffered by Khthon, they have contracted with an assassin to assault General daviald. This likely has been ordered as Khthon realizes that not only is their army outclassed, but their military minds are as well.

Contrary to the report in the Khthon "newspaper," the reports of our demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Victory in Xinjin

March 14, 1007 | By: Zal Habap

By all the gods, glory hath descended upon the army of Plergoth yet again. Marching through the woods of Xinjin, apparently unaware of the presence of the righteous defenders, the brigands of Khthon were ambushed and soundly defeated. Details are sketchy, but Plergoth appears to have fielded more and better trained troops. One expects that the continued success of Plergothian arms will soon bring this war to a successful completion.

You Get What You Pay For

March 9, 1007 | By: Elroy

After being defeated in Tindle, Chancellor VonGarrett fell asleep atop his horse while withdrawing to Piwani. Little did he know that the scouts he picked up in the briefly reclaimed region of Weghie were loyal to Khthon, and they led him into Zuhle instead, where his unit suffered massive casulaties at the end of a devastating cavalry charge. Luckily he was not wounded, and is reported to be moving with his remaining men to rejoin the main Plergoth army. Needless to say, those scouts have been dealt with accordingly.

Tindle TO Thwarted, Weghie Lost

March 9, 1007 | By: Elroy A combined army of Khthon and Vlaanderen narrowly defeated the army of Plergoth, thus breaking the TO of Tindle. With Vlaanderen's forces returning to their lands, it is likely that this region as well as other Khthonian regions will fall under attack and be returned to their rightful rulers after Plergoth's army refits. Although Khthon was also successful in reclaiming Weghie, they did so at a high price, as the harvest was delivered to Plergoth just prior to the successful TO.

Zuhle reluctantly leaves

March 6, 1007 | By: Zal Habap

Today, the people of Zuhle reluctantly agreed to Khthonian rule. A peasant on the street told this reporter, "Ah dowen raughtla no howta pernounce it, but dey'uns hafda sords, so weeza dem." One expects that the Grand Army will soon liberate this small province. The loss of Weghie, the most populous region held by Khthon, is hardly compensated by seizing the sparsely populated woodlands of Zuhle. One wonders if Chancellor Geoff Lious plans to pull a Tyreslagter and trade his kingdom for his own life.

Weghie Reclaimed by Plergoth, but Zuhle on Verge of Being Subjugated

March 5, 1007 | By: Elroy

On the fifth day of the first TO attempt, Weghie converted back to the rightful rule of Plergoth, where troops and buros are working together to quickly increase region stats. Unfortunately, Khthon's brutal TO of Zuhle appears to be on the verge of success after the peasants have thrown off a previous hostile TO and held out for several more days. If the region is lost to the oppressors from Khthon, the army of Plergoth will surely reclaim that region in the near future.

Weghie Locals Prove Toughness

March 5, 1007 | By: Luxor Feylonis

After four gruelling days in Weghie, the region still waves the banner of Khton. The Plergoth takeover is still slow, despite the fact that most of the Plergoth Army is present in it. The locals of the region prove to be tough. Many nobles of Plergoth hope that the region would convert soon, since action has dropped ever since the start of the takeover.

Two skirmishes in Gaxano

March 2, 1007 | By: Zal Habap

Two small battles in Gaxano resulted in the serious wounding of Fronenian traitor Louis-Joseph Chénier. Chénier has been sheltered by Khthon, but must know that he cannot escape justice, even by hiding in the mountainous Gaxano region. Plergoth fully supports its dear friends in Fronen and rejoices at his wounding.

Execution of a Spy

March 2, 1007 | By: Zal Habap

Public Execution

The dishonourable Edith of Khthon was publicly tortured to death in Creasur earlier today.

Having been labelled both a spy and a murderer, Edith of Khthon was publicly executed in Creasur. She had challenged any members of the Plergothian gang known as "The 10" while also spying for Plergoth's enemies. Finally, the nobles of the land could stand it no more and she was arrested and executed for her crimes. Rumors that the head of the criminal adorns the top of a pike near The 10 Den could not be confirmed. It is also unclear if the reward offered in the last issue of the Plergoth Press were handed over to the noble who arrested her.
