The King pass out

June 30, 1007 - The Palace of Kalmar was in turmoil when King Shady, the ruler of the Obsidian Islands, passed out just minutes before an official act. He was quickly carried to his bedroom, where the best healers of the Islands treated him. It was feared by the authorities that King Shady illness could be grave, soo the legal preparations for a Regency were done. Lucky, our King showed to have a very strong health, and he come back to his Throne room some hours later.

In other news, Sir bell, knight of [[Lundel] and member of this kingdom, win the first place in the Swordfighting contest held in Ibladesh. sinted, Duke of Ibladesh get the second place.

Also, our sources inform us of a brief skirmish betwen militia units and some malcontents on Wasteland. Apparently the militia formations have the situation under control.

Back to the street!!!

June 29, 1007 - After a few days absence because of a arson attack to the offices of the Obsidian News press, wicht in now under investigation by the competent authorities, the newspaper come back to the printers. In a way to compensate for our brief absence we will make a brief resume of what happened inm our beatifull islands and the continent. IN a few words...not much. Aside from a few encounters whith some moentars and pirates, the leaving of some nobles looking for adventure, and the coming of some nobles, a traveler among them, the most important thing was a heated discution among the local nobles about the posibility of allowing feregein religion to establish in the Islands. In a votation, the NO choice win for only one vote.

In the International aspect, whith the misterious undead and monster invasion gone, the only relevant thing was a Tournament held in Ibladesh.

A new Baron for Lundel

June 15, 1007 - King Shady appointed today Bai Mei has the new Baron of Lundel. This young noble, born in the Colonies and once a noble of Sirion swore the oath of fealty to the King and promised tolead the people of the province in good ways. He also make some mention to teaching the inhabitants the benefits of a orderly and disiplined life, but few of the present knew of what he was talking about.

Political update of the Continent

June 14, 1007 - Some political changes have ocurred continent wide.

First is the avdication of the Pontifex of Ibladesh, Sorcha, because of, in his own words, "It is time for younger, newer blood to rule this land. Fresh eyes will bring fresh solutions to all our concerns as a realm and as a member of this great continent. May the gods guide us all." Shortly after, an election was carried among the ibladeshian nobility, whith elected Quake has the new Pontifex.

Also, due personal reason, Cypher II, Arch Priest of Old Rancagua and of Count of Juazeiro has abdicated. No more explanation were given.

Finally, Hannibal, Pontifex and Fiduciary of Light of Fountain has been imprisoned by Fontan patrols while travelling through An Najaf. No more offial coments were made by either Fountain or Fontish oficials.

Baron Iridian stepped down!!!

June 14, 1007 - In an unexpected move, Baron Iridian of Lundel stepped down from his command post in the region. Acording to some unnamed sources, the reason for this would be that Sir Iridian would take the position of Comerce Deputy, taking in his charge the comerce regulation and dealings whit other realm of the islands, and helping the Royal Treasurer Sir Paul in his task. More to come.

Monster defeated in Venas

June 13, 1007 - Baron Iridian, leading the the "Guardians of Lundel" army unit and "The Casual Debauchees" militia unit faced and defeated the last of the "Investigating" army of mosnters in a plain near the south end of Venas. The shapsooting of the Guardians of Lundel was vital for the Obsidian Islands victory.

In other news, the Watching Daimon horde in Bescanon faced the full wrath of the Perdan army, and even the hideaous giant lobstar that Wathching sommuned form the sea were enough to stop the slaugther that followed. At the end of the day, the Perdan troops were victorious.

Also, the Fontan battle group clashed whit the Revealing Daimon legion in Evora, defeating and wounding the traitor. Sadly, in the same confrontation Sir Karlos of Krimml was seriously wounded.

May the Gods bless these brave mens and womens who fight against the traitors´s legions.

Update in the Undead/Monster invasion

June 13, 1007 - The Obsidian Islands/Perdan forces in Bastad faced and defeated Investigating monster forces, putting them of the flee. Scout reports put them heading toward Venas, but the alliance forces were notified and the persuit has began.

In other news, Looking, another of the "Heroes" of the Daimon family have been spoted in Kazan in company of two wounded monsters, fleeing of local militia forces.

And finally, Perdan forces are facing a greater threat in the form of Watching Daimon and a force of 400 monsters in the townlands of Bescanon. We hope that our valiants allies could defeat these traitors and his beastly followers.

Another victory for the Obsidian Islands!!!

June 12, 1007 - Another clash betwen "Investigating" mounstrous forces and the brave defenders of the Obsidian Islands happened today in Bastad, whit a victory for the defending forces. Investigating an a pair of his hideaous beats survived and escape, but the incoming "Gutbusters" army unit lead by Sir Mikolas of Perdan together whit the defending forces lead by Baron WAYLANDER will surely deal whit this fellow finally.

In other reports, a huge Itorunt legion face another invading army in Zamor, but thanks to a 1:3 superiority, the Itoruntese forces were triumphant at the end of the day, the invading horde escatered.

Another day of combats

June 12, 1007 - In the third day of this "invasion" of beats and undead in the continent, heavy combats happened around the island.

Sirion forces battle and defeated one of the invaders forces in Rollbar, wounding its leader.

Yssaria clashed whit the forces leaded by "Discovering" in Hamadan, defeating and capturing him.

Ibladesh and Itorunt faced these hordes in Woolton and Zawr respectivly, also getting the upper hand.

Finally, our brave forces faced "Investigating" and his fire ogers escorts at the walls of Bastad, repulsing them and seriously wounding it leader. All hail for our corageous troops, and the Baron WAYLANDER that lead them to victory!

Marcus is the new Baron of Wasteland

June 11, 1007 - Today, King Shady appointed Marcus has the new Baron of Wasteland, after Lord Fingal step down from the post to be the new Baron of Stora. From this editorial office, we wish the new Wasteland Lord the best of the luck and a pacefull lordship.

We have an invasion in the continent?

June 11, 1007 - Reports from the mainland talk about massive battles in Kazakh and Mashhad against monster and undead hordes lead by humans of strange names, apparently connected with the attacks by "Investigating" in Chaos Temple and Wasteland. Some investigations claim that all these persons are related, being members of a family of name "Daimon".

Reports from Kazakh inform that the Old Rancagua forces defending the city wounded the women in charge of the undead legion that stormed the city´s gates.

A day full of battle in the Islands

June 11, 1007 - A series of combats have happened in two of the main islands of the realms. First, the fire ogers lead by the mysterious "Investigating" stormed the gates of Chaos Temple and thanks to the bravery of the militia unit "Wolfs of the Flame" that defended the gates, the Stronghold would surely fail to these beasts. And after that, as mysteriously they appeared in the first time, they disappeared in the day. Hunting parties are looking for these monsters and the traitor to humankind that leads them.

Also, a small band of very prepared pirates attacked Lundel this morning, but thanks to the joint efforts of Sir Leo and his Obsidian Troopers, the Guardians of Lundel lead by Baron Iridian and the students of the sensei Bai Mei the sea brindgands were defeated, it leader killed and the survivors jailed and shipped to Kalmar for trial.

Related to the appearance of this fellow "Investigating", there are coming reports form the continent about huge hordes of undead and beats begin lead by humans of strange names that speak in a foreign and cryptic language. At least one of them was spotted in Skezard leading a huge undead legion made of the ancestors of the island inhabitants. More information about this would come. Would be this related to the undead and beast invasion happen in Beluaterra?

The King is wounded!!!

June 10, 1007 - Last Report: According to reports coming from Wasteland, the King Shady was wounded in battle against monsters. He is currently in a healer tent, his wound begin treated by the best OI healers. It looks like that Investigat, the strange fellow that post that weird message in the region, appeared escorted by 10 fire ogres, creatures taken by legends by the sages, and proceeded to attack the main village of Wasteland. The forces present in the province face him, but the ogers were too much for them.

Also, reports are coming about pirate attacks in Lundel. We will keep you informed about this and the mysterious invader in Wasteland.

More treaths to the OI neutralized

June 10, 1007 - The surviving sea serpents swarm spotted in Wasteland was ambusehd and destroyed by the brave troops of OI. Meanwhile, in Stora, near the Hot Hill, in the border whith Alvaret, a giant lava badgers family group was spotted by the miners present in the local obsidian mines, and quickly the provincial militias rally in the zone to confront and exterminate the giant vermin. All hail the defenders of the Obsidian Islands! Has a last note, a very strange fellow, noble clothed according to some witnesses, nail a message in the post board of a a local tavern, written in a very strange language. Here its a transcription.

Investigat

The local sages in Kalamar are investigating this strange lenguaje, but so far the only word they could translate was Beluaterra, the far continents where a rumored monster and undead invasion is happening. Want the Gods that this is just the ramblings of a madman.

A sea serpents attacks Wasteland

June 9, 1007 - Witness told of a group of sea serpents coming out the sea in the coast of Wasteland and heading toward the nearest towns. Luckily, two our our brave nobles are stationed there whit their personal guards and surely will deal with the sea beasts.

Last reports tell about a victory for OI troops, but a small swarm of these foul beats run for the sea. Now a counter attack is expected.

A calm day in the Islands

June 7, 1007 - The news is...that there are no news. Aside from Sir evalon retiring to his private estates to solve some personal matters (more a new for the social news that for this newspaper) and the genral recovering of the various provinces of our glorious realm, nothing important have happened. The only thing are the rumors that arriving from Beluaterra bringed by sailors about legions of undead and beats looking for ancient relics. This is sure no more than old viwes tales told by the sailors to impress the local ladies.

Political changes in the Islands

June 6, 1007 - Lord Fingal, the Lord of Wasteland stteped down from his post, only to be appointed has the new Baron of Stora. Some sources point this to the necesity to appoint an experienced noble in the direction of an important region like Stora.

A departure and a new comer to the Obsidian islands

June 6, 1007 - This editor was the witness of the departure of Sir Riokotsusei from the Obsidian Islands, in a boat destined to the Far East. The reasons for this departure were no cleared. Also, from this newspaper, we want to give a great welcome to Sir Leo, formely from Perdan, who joined the Islands to help in the reconstruction.

Pirates in Venas

June 6, 1007 - A small group of pirates attacked today some little towns in the west coast of Venas, but where quickly neutralized by the combine efforts of "The Casual Debauchees" and the "Praetorian Nighthawks XIII" militia units present in the province. The surviving pirates will be carried to Kalmar to trial and execution.

Massive battle in Fontan

June 5, 1007 - A huge army (ooc: 40000K of CS) from Fontan assaulted and invaded Fontan city, battling the local garrison, also huge (ooc: 23000K of CS), in a titanic battle. Looses run high in both sides, but fontish forces were victorious at the end of the day. Light of Fountain forces tried a counter-assault, only to be beaten back. June 3, 1007 - Today, Hannibal the Carthage noble house, has been elected by the 84% of the nobles of Light of Fountain. We desire him good luck in his new post.

Stora whithout Lord

June 2, 1007 - King Shady has demoted Lord Paul from the title of Stora after the plan of power distribution in the realm. In these very moments the King and his advisors are looking for an ideal candidate for the title, and the rumors tell of a posible candidate. More to come.

More Giant Lava Badgers in Wasteland

June 2, 1007 - In another incident of the current Giant Lava Badgers infestation in the islands, another group of this beast pop up in the volcanic side of Wasteland where Lord fingal and five of the feroucious locals battle it, and have to retreat after the fight. By the sacrigice of Lord Fingal and his mens, the beats could be chased down by the incoming troops from Chaos Temple. We saluto you, Lord Fingal!

June 1, 1007 - After a brief battle the valerous Obsidian Islands troop leaders defeated the Giant Lava Badgers that appeared in Alvaret early this day. Good bless this great defenders of the realm.

June 1, 1007 - Recent reports from Alvaret tell about a nest of Giant Lava Badgers beign found in an abandoned obsidian mine when construction teams enter on it to put it back in productivity. Obsidian Islands forces near the mine are gathering to face thei giantic mustelid enemies.

Especial Report - An undying loyalty to his people: The history of WAYLANDER Con Doin

June 1, 1007 - One of the main characteristics of a true noble its his loyalty. Loyalty to your nation, to your ruler, and in the case you have been given a region to rule, whit the peopple of that region. And here, right now, in the Obsidian Islands, we have a noble who have that characteristic.

WAYLANDER Con Doin born in Supra, now in Yssaria control. Few is know about his firts years, has he only appears named for the first time when he join Perdan in 1005, and shortly after that beign apointed has Marquis of Ar Mosul. He collected honors and goberment position until the Kalmar Islands born from the sea. Old Rancagua and Perdan began a joint effort to colonize the islands, and soo the Kalmar Islands realm born. WAYLANDER joined this newborn realm and was appoint, for first time, has the Baron of Venas. In that moment is when he began his deep conecction whit Venas people.

Sadly, after a few month, the wretched El Cid lead a succefull rebelion against the Kalmar Islands leadership, and WAYLANDER had to escape helped by the inhabitants of Venas when rebel forces came for him during the night.

Seeking refugge in Perdan, he participate among the forces that liberate the Islands, defeating the rebels. He was appointed again has the Baron of Venas by the Perdan goberment. He, thankfully reunited whit his people, wisely administrate the province until again the Old Rancagua and Perdan tried again to give independence to the people of the Kalmar chain of islands.

This action had as a result the born of the Obsidian Islands. Again, WAYLANDER, now a mentor, declared his loyalty and of his followers to the new realm, bringing them under the Obsidian fold.

Its amazing to see how a person can be so loyal to the people of a region, endure persecution and sacrafice everything to see them free. Thsi editor, and all the people of the Obsidian Islands are thankful whit this brave noble.
