Found by Malone Snow after a valiant battle against a hoard of Lava Badgers breading outside of the village of Cornus in Alvaret. This ornately crafted broadsword with a razor sharp black obsidian blade is said to have been forged deep within the Obsidian Volcano north of Chaos Temple and deposited somewhere in Wasteland during one of the volcano's violent eruptions. Throughout history it is suspected that many a person likely held the blade, keeping it as a decorative piece in their homes rather than using it for actual combat. When and how it came to be in a Lava Badgers din is not entirely known, though Lava Badgers have been known to occasionally take items of little or no use to them and stash them with in their dins. It is possible that a young adventure seeking glory and fame took the blade from his family's home and bit off more than they could chew, being slain by the lava badgers which left the blade on the field and consequently in the possession of the lava badgers.
After Malone Snow's valiant battle against these Lava Badgers the weapon was recovered and sold for a price of 50 gold to Shogun Epoch Shadowbane of the Obsidian Islands.
