Despite rumours that the item was created under unfavorable stars, it is said to endow the wearer with incredible strength of will and protection from grievous injury in battle. The freeman Keichus presented the breastplate to Glaumring Apasurian upon his election as Justiciar of Virovene as a congratulatory gift.

Soon after the gift was given, Lord Glaumring led a small force northwards through the most dangerous monster infested region mt.Black Nostrand and then the Torrents breath and founded the Kingdom of Thulsoma in the Storms keep. Lord Glaumring fought constantly with monsters, always throwing himself headlong into battle without regard to his own life. finally the breast-plate of Strength broke in battle and shattered into dust. There was no know reason as to why it was destroyed and it was the only time that Lord Glaumring was ever wounded in battle.
