Roleplay from Sorsha McDowell:

Looking out over the night sky, Sorsha exhaled, her warmth breath misting the cold air, and out of habit, reached for her hip. Her hand found emptiness and she was reminded of her dagger's absence. Instead she closed her hand into a fist and tried to ignore the hollowness she felt.

Her thoughts wandered to its new owner and she wondered how she would find him. At least he would be a familiar face among strangers. One she barely knew, yet strangely felt she knew more than the rest, how odd.

Looking back in the direction of Port Raviel she watched the moon off the water and for a moment tried to let the sounds of the water soothe her. She walked away from the rail in the opposite direction and glanced up, ahead was Port Nebel and she gave an uneasy sigh.

Roleplay from Conrac Amcastra:

'For some things', the duke thought, looking across the dining hall at his companions for the evening, 'there is simply not enough wine in the world'. Conrac watched as a group of sailors threw their cups at each other and began arm-wrestling. He quietly lifted his sleeve to his nose, 'what a barbaric sight...'

Conrac was an urbane, witty sophisticated (or an effete arrogant snob), and he was not used to what he frankly saw as lower life-forms. He quietly got out of his seat, and carefully stepped over a particularly drunk individual before climbing up the stairs.

The stars were beautiful at night. As his eyes drifted from the sky to the rails in front of him, he was shocked to find in front of him was Sorsha. She did not seem to realize that he was on the same boat as her. Conrac quietly pondered whether he should reveal himself or not.

Roleplay from Sorsha McDowell:

Watching the stars, she became mesmerized by their beauty. She heard the occasional carousing of the men down below, but chose to ignore it. The prickling sensation between her shoulder blades warned her to turn but Sorsha tried to resist the temptation to look.

After all, she wasn’t going to join them, she preferred not to partake in that type of careless behavior. It was moments like these where she was reminded of her loneliness.
