Overview

House MacArbin traces their line of descent from Koli Bedwyr, one-time Ruler of Pian en Luries, Duke of Askileon, and founder of The Manifest Path. Aoife MacArbin was, she claims, in a morganatic marriage with Koli Bedwyr, though no records of this exist, and Koli was known to have more than a few lovers during his brief time in power. After Koli's fall, and the targeting of the followers of the Manifest Path, Aoife swiftly gathered the resources she could, including a number of valuable gifts from Koli, and relocated herself and her three children to the Farrowlands, staking out a claim and liquidating whatever she could to hire the soldiers to back it up. When Tol Goldara settled, she was ready to make things easy for the Lurian-backed conquerors, and her children were swiftly married to various captains and functionaries of the new realm. Through a series of sharp deals, and the betrothal of her granddaughter Deirdre, the funds were raised for all of her grandchildren to be educated as high nobles, and with the accession of Aidan, Saoirse, Kenneth (and Gregor, though the family dislikes speaking of him), the family took to the stage to reclaim the legacy Aoife believed her clan deserved.
