With all the stress of the elections and going against Solomon, and with both Lucius and Svari leaving, Edelyn knew the best thing to do was to leave the city. It had been a long while since she had been in Mozyr, most of the day-to-day operations was being taken care of by her bailiff Dalmat Alesky, one of the minor nobles of the region.

Eighteen hours, that is how long the ridiculous trip from Golden Farrow had taken. Most of that time had been spent trying to get through the Farrowfield townsland in which the roads thinned and turned to almost slush in the more rural areas. They were so narrow, and slick with mud, that most of Edelyn's escort had to be tied to the front of the carriage to help pull it through even though the roads were reported as "good". It was several hours later, but they finally crested the border that was Mozyr.

There were three main roads that lead into the region, and her carriage as taking the one closest to the sea as it was the most direct route to her manor. As they road along, the road considerably improved, Edelyn was impressed that Dalmat was able to keep the infrastructure in such good shape for a rural. As they passed, to the left could be seen the many vineyards of the region, rich with grapes ripe for the picking and pressing into the many sweet wines the region was known for. As they approached the turn they needed, they passed through the grove of orange trees whose fruit hung heavy and low, ready for harvesting.

Just up ahead was the manor that Edelyn had not seen in months, if not a full year. Her appointment as Tidespeaker had largely consumed her life, to the point of neglecting others that cared for her, and this was the first step in changing that. The woman swore she would not become another Solomon, so consumed with herself that she would forget those that helped her get here.

"Lady Edelyn!" Dalmat exclaimed with excitement as she walked through the door, "It is great to see you after so much time! Your chambers have already been made ready for you and we do have some food available."

Edelyn looked over the man, who was taller than she, looking disheveled from the ride, "I would rather have a hot bath drawn and a glass of wine. Did the word get sent out about our event tomorrow?"

Dalmat yanked his head at one of the women to start warming water, "No, My Lady, I had letters sent to the other regional nobles, but the people have yet to be informed. Fear not, your recognition event of the two Astrumese that helped you escape, I just wanted you to hear what would be said."

"More than escape, they have provided valuable intel, and helped me cope with what happened in there." Edelyn snarkily corrected her Bailiff. She would not have Ahlmet and Zoisme's contributions belittled. "The Navarch agreed to have them join you after all. Just send the criers, Dalmat, you have done a well enough job here that I trust it is sufficient."

The young woman ascended the stairs and went to her room to gather some house clothes for after the bath. She is walking into the other room just as the bath was finishing, poured herself a glass of wine, and started to undress. Slipping into the water was almost like heaven, it was nothing like what the church could offer. As she sipped her wine, and relaxed in the steamy, almost burning hot, water she could hear the criers in the distance.

The Viscountess was woken before dawn while preparations were being made. Edelyn had slept more soundly here after just a few short hours than she had in weeks within the stressful and stifling atmosphere of Golden Farrow. It was almost as if taking the time to relax, rather than constantly run one's self ragged, could have positive effects on the mind. There was little time to reflect on such, however, as the pronouncement would occur soon.

Edelyn groggily slipped from her bed and started to get ready for the day. The garment for the day had already been placed out the night before, and Edelyn started to put it on. A white and blue silk dress trimmed with gold, it looked fancy in comparison to her normal priestly robes. Her hair was tied high with a ribbon once more as was her style for more social events. Finally, there was a shawl, appearing to be spun from gold itself, that matched the trimming of the dress.

Breakfast was basic, just some fruits and bread with some honey on the side, as the servants were busy preparing for the morning decrees. Still, the freshness of the meal tasted better than the dried fish and stale water normally enjoyed in Golden Farrow. The oranges were Edelyn's favorite, and she found herself wondering if she could somehow turn the fruit into a glaze for bread sometime in the future.

The people were already gathering outside, and the regional nobles were already present. Dalmat, Bailiff, and head of the Alesky family, lead in the heads of the other three. Among them were Iagan Grishka, who looked after one of the fishing villages, Eliska Lovot, who looked after the other, and Fodor Zhivo, who looked after the orange groves.

"Lady Edelyn, the nobles are gathered," Dalmat spoke in a diplomatic tone.

Each of the three bowed before their lady. All three had expressed relief when Mina was replaced, and she was given the region before. Even if it was a bit insulting to the Lady's personal honor, it was by far one of the best things to happen for the region and their homes.

"It has been quite some time since you have been home, My Lady," Spoke Eliska, the only other female of the group gathered.

"Yes, quite, I plan not to make similar mistakes in the future, but pleasantries can be exchanged in a bit. The people are gathered, and this recognition is well overdue." The Viscountess answered while moving out the door and motioning the four of them to follow in tow.

In the courtyard, there were many people gathered, everything from farmers to guards, priests to explorers, were present. Even children had shown their bright and shining faces this morning. There was a portable raised platform brought out for the proclamation, and Edelyn took her place at the center of it with the four regional nobles behind her, and the two awardees before her.

"People of Mozyr!" The Viscountess started to peak in a loud voice, "You all know why we are here, to recognize to of the finest people I think I have met. When I, as Tidespeaker, matched with the armies Astrum had me arrested. They had me thrown in a dank cell with rats, and nothing to sleep on but straw, barely fit for a slave much less a noble. To make things worse, their Judge came in and assaulted me in the middle of the night. However, these two, originally from Astrum, saw these injustices and helped me to escape. Ahlmet tended to me wounds after the Judges molestation, and Zoisme, as a guard, opened my cells and both fled with me to Tol Goldora after the injustices. So, without further a due, let us finally recognize them. Dalmat, the proclamation please." Edelyn spoke after turning, and took the scroll, unrolled it, and began to read.

By Order of Viscountess Edelyn Luitolf,

1) By the power invested unto me by the Duke of Golden Farrow, and the Navarch of Tol Goldora, I hereby officially recognize the citizenship of the most loyal and patriotic Ahlmet and Zoisme into the Tyranny of Tol Goldora and erase all doubt of Astrumese intelligence ties.

3) As Viscountess of the region the following recompense will be rewarded to Ahlmet Enver and Zoisme Stavros for their duty, loyalty, and service to both their Lady and Tol Goldora as a whole:

Both shall be admitted into the gentry of the region and given a manor paid for by the region complete with a personal vineyard from my own demesne and will henceforth be accepted as regional nobility along with the Alesky, Grishka, Lovot, and Zhivo families. Additionally, by the grace of Duke Aidan of Itau, they will both be awarded war hounds from his personal kennel as companions for their person.

Additionally, Master Ahlmet shall gain a position as a professor teaching other healers within the Duchy and be the personal healer of the Viscountess herself while within the region.

Mistress Zoisme shall gain the position as a personal confidant and lady-in-waiting and shall take up additional roles within the Church of the Tidemother, as is her choice.

Upon finishing the proclamation, Edelyn rolled the scroll back up and had Dalmat had her two new scrolls This was the point of having the four regional families present, with their recognition and acceptance, none in the land could deny their new nobility.

The Viscountess approached both Ahlmet and Zoisme, "I hereby present to you the deeds to your new property and writs recognizing your new station." And in a lower voice, as she hands them the documents, "Also enjoy the hounds, I don't even have one myself, and as far as I know, they are the first to be given out by His Grace Duke Itau. That he should honor you in such a way speaks even more to the services you have rendered to the realm, the church, and myself."
