"I see..."
The duke paused then and lifted the blade up to once more gaze upon the glittering gems that were shaped into elaborate, swirling letters. Then, without turning to his weapons-master, Xarnelf held out his left hand in the man's general direction. Needing no instruction, Marcus quickly placed the scabbard into his liege's palm. Satisfied with his brief inspection of the sword, the noble slowly sheathed it and let his eyes linger a moment longer upon the sparkling hilt-stones. Finally, he returned his attention to the adventurer before him.
