Baeldeth Landell - Knight of Tertul

Age at death: 18

The second youngest of the four siblings of the family. He is one of the children in the Landell family that stayed in Atamara. He had the ideas of honour and glory in his mind from growing up, and was at the for front of several conflicts. He was slightly different from most of his ilk, providing quarter, and pledging his honour being his life in all things. Willing to defend his honour, and word with blade if necessary. He was close to his region lord Sebastian O'Riley of Tertul and corresponded with him regularly.

His most notable participation was during the conflict with Norland in which he was part of the forces that were sent to eliminate Brackhead. During the occupation of the home town of the Norlanders there had been mainly complaints from them about the greed and underhandedness of Darka. He had taken upon himself to state his perception of Darka. Most notably the idea that "Darka is like a sword, you purchase a sword to take care of a problem. Someone purchased us to take care of you."

Edward Raymend of Cedillo, a Knight of Brackhead had requested that Baeldeth stand by his words with steel. Being that Ser Raymend had shown he was above simply complaining and showing his own honour, Baeldeth agreed to defend his own claim and words for Ser Raymend had been the only Norlander that had earned his respect. Baeldeth had requested the permission of Crescent Strika the residing law father at the time, to be exempt from the laws and meet Ser Raymend in his duel. With the law fathers consent the duel was planned. On the fourth day of January at sunset they had both given their salutes and begun the Duel to the death.

Before the duel, Baeldeth had sent a letter to his countrymen, stating that this ser Edward had shown great honour and that he not be thought of ill since he stood apart from his folk.

The Duel was going well for Baeldeth, and unfortunately took a turn for a worse. The healers were not there in time to save him.

It was also unfortunate that a matter of his honour was spat upon by Durion B'odian Ward, the residing count of Wistir, who had called him a fool. It was also overhead that he would not be given leave to Sigrid's halls, duel of honour or not. Even worse, his final request was not heeded, he had asked Ser Raymend been given respect for being willing to meet him on the field of battle. It was not to be, for Juan Dela Cruz was already crying for Ser Raymends blood.
