The Killins Family of Rollbar

   Omerus, Atreus, and Xypherius

Long ago a simple man grew up in the woods of Atamara in a region just outside of the beautiful city of Barad Falas. He learned the skills of a woodsman from his father and would later pass it along to his son, Xypherius.

For now however, Laithian Killins was just a young man, barely but the age of twenty and in search of adventure. He left his home in the dark of the night and began to make his way to Barad Gardor the capital city of Falasan.

There he lived for some time and worked as an apprentice to a famous blacksmith of nobility renown for his swordmaking. He learned how to fashion armor and chainmail and even how to make a shield able to take the abuses of constant battle. But alas he was never taught how to make a sword as this was truly what made his boss famous. He most likely would have learned the art of forging a piece of raw metal into a usable weapon, but he instead slept with the blacksmiths beautiful daughter and was chased out of the city.

The next few years of Laithian's life were very difficult as he was chased from the realm of Falasan and had to board a ship from the city of to the East Continent where he felt he might find a new beginning. This he certainly did find and exhausted from his travels he collapsed on the shores of a very young realm called Perdan. He was taken in by the locals and offered food and shelter. With them he stayed for a short while until he heard of their rival enemy on the northern end of the continent and he began to inquire of these so called Sirionites.

As time went on and he listened to the propaganda of the Perdanese government he became so intrigued by these elven folk to the north he just had to see them for himself! The stories heard whispered over fires late at night about the elves with their incredible strength and endurance. And rumors that they knew of magic...both good and evil! He could not resist and went in search of this realm of Sirion.

When Laithian finally made it to Sirion almost three months had passed and he was on the border of the realm of Fontan. From a hill overlooking some Sirion plains, he noticed a few nobles and their troops preparing to camp for the night. It seemed they were having some trouble getting their spit working and yelling could be heard as the meat was being burnt on one side and not cooked at all on the other. Then the whole thing fell into the fire as the men scrambled frantically to get it working. Laithiam laughed and hurried down the hill to help. He was met with drawn swords and stern faces all around. They thought at first he was an Oligarch scout, but then after explaining himself the swords were put away and they allowed Laithiam to assist them.

He showed them how to lash and how to notch and in return for allowing him to travel along, he made them each their own wooden utensils and of course helped them in whatever needed to be done.

One day as they passed through the city of Sirion Temple he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. She was simply dressed, but of noble birth and she would become his wife and mother of Xypherius. Her name was Lady Caterina Reaven and her entire family had been killed in a ruthless attack by Oligarch, Sirions newest worry. As it being so that they neither had close or living relatives and were so fond of eachother they decided to be wed. The ceremony was held and Laithiam Killins once banished from his home had found a new one in the woods of Rollbar doing exactly what his father had. He also found himself a noble by marriage and thus his "first" son was eligible for the mighty Sirion Army.

Little did he know that he already had a son growing up strong and proud, back home in the city of Barad Gardor...

He was also quite unaware for the time being that his older brother had begun searching for him after he left Barad Gardor. His family always knew where Laithiam was, but when he was run out of town, they lost track. His older brother had arrived in the East Continent and more specifically Fontan a few years before Laithiam had and had already set roots in Fontan and Old Rancagua. He had a son by the name of Atreus who would grow up knowing Xypherius as their fathers would be reunited at a battle in Avamar City.
