Laws and Privileges

PRIVILEGES OF THE NOBILITY

  • 1. Every noble has the right to free speech so long as it is neither treasonous, nor inhibiting of realm function. Every noble is, however, expected to behave as a noble.
  • 2. Every noble has the right to a fair trial, and know what they are accused of.
  • 3. Every noble has the right to inquire about the government on any matter, and expect an answer, within reason, so long as it does not endanger the realm or realm security.
  • 4. Every noble has the right to believe in whatever religion or deity he or she chooses, though no restriction shall be put on the religions themselves, so long as they do not openly assault each other or encourage doing so.
  • 5. Every noble has the right to protest or disagree whensoever they choose on any matter, though if it is done frivolously it may be punished.
  • 6. Every noble has the right to the pursuit of happinness.
  • 7. Every noble has the right to keep and bear arms personally and in direct military situations.
  • 8. Every noble has the right to remain free, and neither slave, nor servant, of anyone, and never shall any noble be subjugated unjustly.
  • 9. Every noble has the right to privacy, so long as it does not hinder proper realm * functioning.
  • 10. Every noble has the right to vote for whosoever they choose.
  • 11. Every noble has the right to property, and to be secure in said property.
  • 12. Every noble has the right to participate in the legislative processes of his/her rank, be it of the Assembly or the Cabinet.
  • 13. Every noble has the right to participation in contests of arms.
  • 14. Every noble has the right to gather soldiers in such a manner as he/she sees fit.
  • 15. Every noble has the right to run for any position of his/her choice.

PRIVILEGES OF THE PEASANTRY

  • 1. Every peasant has the right to be protected by his/her leige lord, and expect that the lord is functioning in ways that are found acceptable by the King.
  • 2. Every peasant has the right to feed his/her family before paying taxes to the realm, and the peasent shall be taxed on their produce AFTER their needs have been accounted for.
  • 3. Every peasant has the right to throw tomatoes at public executions.

LAWS OF THE REALM

  • 1. Thou shalt not murder a fellow Irombrozian.

-Punishment possible exile

  • 2. Thou shalt not wound a fellow Irombrozian unless thine cause be just and true.

-Punishment fine, possible request to leave

  • 3. Thou shalt not slander a fellow Irombrozian unless thou first presenteth verifiable evidence.

-Punishment slap on the wrists, possible minor fine

  • 4. Thou shalt not bear false witness in a court of law.

-Punishment of fine, possible request to leave

  • 5. Thou shalt not send word telling, directly or indirectly, of plans which are in the best laid plans of mice and men of Irombrozian, nor shalt thou even cause such information as region statistics, scout reports, or bulletin contents to fall into foreign, let alone enmy, hands.

-Punishment anywhere from fine, to death

  • 6. Thou shalt not participate in a rebellion without great and mighty cause.

-Punishment anywhere from fine, to death

  • 7. Thou shalt not lead a rebellion without great and mighty cause.

-Punishment from exile, to death

  • 8. Thou shalt not secede any city which flies the banner of Irombrozia without great and mighty cause.

-Punishment from exile, to death

  • 9. Thou shalt not deliver any lands into the hands of the foes of Irombrozia without great and mighty cause.
