= Hail Priminister Gilgamesh of Ikalak =
Date: December 8th, 2006

With Alexia going back out to sea, Carter stepping down and Zack the Great searching for the traitor Hvrek there realy wasnt a clear choice who on Ikalak would rise up to the challenge. Two nobles answered this search. Feanor a highly respected lord and Gilgamesh a Knight who until now had held no titles and had no liege. Suprisingly Gilgamesh won the campaign and now he rules over the twin cities of Ikalak and Sandalak as well as there surrounding regions. The Ikalakian times decided it was only fitting to address Gilgamesh's success in an interview to show his true fealing without any misinterpretation.

1. Congratulations on becoming priminister. Did you think you would win?

Thank you, it is a great honor. I did think I had a chance, but not a great one, As I expected someone as befitting the role of Prime Minister as Feanor to step up. When he did I thought it was over.

2. Before you became priminister you were a battle hardened imperial knight, as such you have seen the battle commands from both the top of the chain as well as the bottom. With that in mind how would you rate Ikalaks army performance?

I think it is fair, but I would love to see some improvement. Being a part of the Old Sandalak war machiene I was spoiled a bit. I do know the Dames and Knights of Ikalak have what it takes to conquer this island we just have some edges to work out with the new army system.

3. Apart from conquering the island do you have any other goals you would like to accomplish?

I haven't really thought of it much. Becoming a head of state was a dream of mine, but I would also like a long and prosperous reign. I would like to see our treaty with Toren carried to its full. I have seen to many treaties fall apart at the end to want to be a part of that experience again.

4. Do you have a predicition about when Taselak will fall?

Thats a difficult question. I hope that they fall within the next month, but it all depends on the spirit of the people. The last siege of Taselak the people held out until almost the last man. The city was almost empty. 5. Many have been saying that Taselak and Toren have been doing alot of the hard fighting while Ikalak consolidates its posistion what is your responce to this?

Taselak has decided to almost exclusively attack Toren since Sandalaks fall. We have continued to move forward against almost no resistance. This is not by our choice but Taselaks. They have tried to break the treaty by punishing only one side and hoping to cause a crack in the middle. This has not worked, it will not work. Instead their insistence on punishing Toren has left them with thier side exposed. Ikalak will send constant waves of invaders into the heart of Taselak on a path laden with roses by the stubberness of the leadership of Taselak.

6 A. Are there any nobles you wish to settle a score with now that your priminister?

No, I have disagreed with my fellow nobles in the past, but some of those same nobles helped elect me. They know my opinion but my opinion isn't the one that matters. Its the opinion of the nobles and people of Ikalak.

6 B. Now that your priminister your going to be the target of alot of dueling requests due to people wishing revenge on Ikalak. Will you accept there challenges?

I imagine that is possible. I've never spent any time at the academy to test my skills, perhaps I should. I think I have enough experience in the field to take care of myself though.

6 C. Would you accept them even if they were to the death?

I can see the possibility of that happening, but I very much doubt it. Not while I am Prime Minister.

7. This is the second SEI war, do you think you will be able to compare to the great leaders of the past, such as Boswick, Sebastian or Penny?

I don't think I could ever compare to those names. They are the names forever written in the annals of history. I will give it my all to make sure that our names, those fighting men and women of Ikalak, will make up the second chapter.

Date: December 31st, 2006

Monsters and Undead now roam the South-East Island in hoards and small warbands. How they got here is unclear although Belutaterra is the likely the original source. Although some claim that this is the result of unholy magics gone wrong. However the peasents are stil far more concerned with the ever increasing battles that result in looting rape and pillaging of lands by occuping forces. One can not hope but wonder whether this means that the peasents are made of stronger stuff here or that this war is ever increasing in its brutality.

A Day of War
Date: December 31st, 2006

It has truly been a bloody day on the battle field with Toren and Taselak taking massive casualties. In the morning Taselak marched a huge army against Toren in Seggelin. Both sides had amassed well over 1000 men and had a similer strength forces respectivley. However being the defenders gave Toren the advantage in this battle as the Taselakians were routed. However they did not leave the region as a second wave of Taselakian forces arrived in the afternoon. The result was the Taselakian force smashing through the already depleted Toren army causing Toren to lose the battle. However Taselaks casualties were so high it may not be classed as a victory at all.

At the same time an Ikalakian strike force led by Kaysa successfully overran the Taselakian vanguard in Falens. Taselaks walls enforced with several units of militia simply could not withheld the tide of Ikalakians. Those that did survive were cut down during the afternoon by Ikalaks calvary forces slicing through the remains of the forces stationed there. What better way to end a year then with massive battles an Ikalakian victory.

Current politics
December 31st, 2006

Forget about Taselakian politics. Forget about Toren politics. The real action is in Ikalak where both Judge and Priminister posistions are likely to change. Nobles have been launching massive campaigns in order to become the new Priminister or Judge respectivly. We should get the results shortly. More information will be delivered when we get it. Goodluck to all those campaining.

Contradiciting statements?? AGAIN?
Date: December 7th, 2006

Two heads are ussualy better then one. This is the way of the world... with one acception it seems. Only Taselak could run a paper where its many editors seem to plan condraticing statements. Just who are they trying to fool? Perhaps the illiterate peasents? We will probally not get an answer to that from the tribune, it seems they dont like to answer questions that make them look silly.

In there current paper there most active editor Dennis went on and on about a possible allaince between Toren and Taselak running high in the Taselak council after Ikalak apparent no show. they then went on to say Ikalak was using them.

Ikalak are using them.

The good news is that the powers that be in Toren by just be coming around to our point of view. In the high circles of Taselak, rumours are rife of a possible ceasefire between Toren and Taselak. If this should happen, it would bring about what we have hoped for for so long. An alliance between the underdogs against the big bad baddy, Ikalak. (writtten by Dennis)

Mischa former Queen of Taselak had a very different statement to make... Amazingly Toren have been able to complete two simultaneous TOs. How did they manage this feat do you ask? Why Ikalak let them of course! How else would Toren be able to do it? They had Ikalak run interference to Taselak while they completed the TOs. (wriiten by Mischa)

Both these statements are clearly contradiciting each other therefor the Ikalakian times can see only three possbilities...

  • Dennis the chief editor for the paper is lying and there for 90% of the paper in inaccurate.
  • Mischa is lying in which case the very council of Taselak is lying to its own people.
  • Both are lying in an attempt to gain a minor boost of morale before Toren overuns there regions while Ikalak harrases there armies.

So which is it Taselak....
