Origins

The Hwang Family originated from the Taran region of Mapo on the continent of Atamara. However, it is known that the father of the first generation of Hwang Nobles, Wen Hwang, is said to have emigrated from the city of Donghaiwei with a simple scribe's (he made the treacherous voyage whilst hidden in the hull of a silk trading ship) dream of seeing the world and, well, writing it down. However, upon arrival in Mapo, he fell in love with a women named Jane Doe, the daughter of a rich merchant, and could no longer even contemplate continuing his travels. Besides, within a matter of days Wen Hwang had found himself quite fond (perhaps too much so) of Mapan Ale, a popular and locally produced beverage.

Taraicon.png Ki Hwang

The eldest twin brother by a duration of roughly 7 hours, Ki has been a lover of battle since the possession of his first ever wooden sword on his 3rd birthday. His love for battle is not to be mistaken as a bloodthirsty nature however, for Ki is undoubtedly a gentlemen, and wholly believes that only the just and chivalric battle can be declared a true battle.  His appointment to Vice-Marshal of the White Scimitar in March 7th, 2011 has done wonders to excel his strategic knowledge of the battlefield, which he has become a dutiful study of. From an early age, Ki has been a self-proclaimed Loyalist to both Tara and her Tyrant. It is clear that this loyalty would exceed all boundaries of self-preservation.

From an early age Taeyeon was completely captivated by her father's wild tales of an exotically beautiful, large and relatively untamed continent from whence he came. Open minded, and politically attune, Taeyeon was avidly against the Tyrannical rule of Tara and from the age of 11, became convinced (perhaps even fanatically so) that her calling was to bring the Hwang name back to the lands of Dwilight. At the age of 17, this dream was fulfilled. But for a dream so fanatically followed to finally be realised, what is left to fill the gap?

Knight of Bohai

Taeyeon arrived in Morekian lands in the Winter of 13YD after a long and arduous journey across vast expanses of seas unknown to herself.  Almost immediately, the young Noble joined Sanguis Astroism upon recommendation of it being the State Religion of the Northern Theocracies, whilst soon securing an oath with the Lord of Bohai, Count Keremov Nikolai. Throughout most of the Spring of 13YD, she fought as a member of The Order of the Austere Star against the foul beasts which often plagued Morek's southernmost regions. Many a unit was lost during this time, an unfortunate occurrence that Taeyeon blamed largely on the fault of poor direction and management within the Austere.

During the Summer of 14YD, Dame Taeyeon was witness to the succession of the Duchy of Aegir  by Duchess Alison Kabrinski, and the subsequent formation of the short-lived realm of Entai. Untrained in Morekain politics, Taeyeon had little of repute to say on the matter, and thus remained a mere witness to the events as a steadfast supporter of Grandmaster Bustoarsenzio.

Knight of Taishan

Whilst playing an active role within the Austere towards the end of the Summer of 14YD, Dame Taeyeon had made a trusted acquaintance with Lord Alexander Canus, the recently appointed Count of Taishan. This resulted in Dame Taeyeon offering her services to the Count upon the leave of Knight Pasha (Bohai had adequate support). Days later, in the Fall of 14YD, she was transferred to the Order of the Auspicious Star and began a short-lived march north, before being appointed as the Countess of Zhongyuan, in light of Lady Alejandra Sevilla's sudden disappearance.

Vice-Marshal of the Order of the Austere Star

Recognising the unstable nature of Zhongyuan, Lady Taeyeon decided to remain in Morek and aid in the defense of its southernmost borders, rather than joining the northern campaign. She was made Vice-Marshal of the Order of the Austere Star, and served in this position throughout most of the Winter of 14YD.

Marshal of the Austere Star

In the Spring of 14YD, Lady Taeyeon was appointed Marshal of the Order of the Austere Star, a position earnt out of a successful showcase of her competence to the Austere's Sponsor, Marshal Garad Jhaelen Irsei, Duke of Aegir. At the mere tender age of 19, and in the span of but 2 years, Taeyeon had become an influential and active member of the Morek Empire.

   Jaesung Hwang

The youngest of the the first generation of Hwang siblings and undoubtably the most foolish, Jaesung is not of most loyal sorts. Perhaps this is due to his adventurous nature which has been apparent since adolescent years, which were generally passed in a rather wild, disorderly and unoble manner. He left home at the age of 17 without so much as a word goodbye, and resolved to travel the world in search of adventure, war and fame.

Slow Beginnings

In the year 1011 May 18th, Jaesung landed in the port of Oroya in the somewhat dwindled realm of the Sultanate of Asena. He planned to take leave immediately, for his months at sea had lead him to hear many rumours of a distant continent by name of Beluaterra . Alas, no ships were chartered for such a place for at least another fortnight, and it became apparent that Jaesung would have to stay awhile. Who knows, perhaps he would even grow to like these war torn lands in the coming weeks.

Knight of Juazeiro

After but a few days, Sir Jaesung had become a landed noble of Juazeiro under Lord Viper. Meanwhile, he moved to Kazan in order to aid the realm in a friendly takeover of the region.
